초등학교 6학년 아동이 지각한 부모성취압력이 아동의 행복감에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 아동이 지각한 부모성취압력이 아동행복감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 부모성취압력과 아동행복감의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 13차년도(2020)인 초등학교 6학년 아동의 자료를 활용하여 아동 1,359명의 자료를 분석하였다. SPSS 27.0 프로그램과 AMOS 25 프로그램을 사용하였고, 구조방정식 모형 분석을 하였다. 확인적 요인분석을 통해 측정모형을 검증하였고, 부트스트래핑을 사용하여 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 아동이 지각한 부모성취압력은 아동행복감에 직접적으로 부적영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모성취압력과 아동행복감 간의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과가 나타났다. 연구결과를 기반으로 부모성취압력과 자아존중감이 아동행복감에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 아동의 행복감 향상을 위한 실천적 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the effect of perceived parental achievement pressure on children's happiness and to investigate the mediating role of self-esteem in this relationship. Drawing on data from the 13th wave (2020) of the Korea Child Panel, the study analyzed responses from 1,359 sixth-grade elementary school students. Structural equation modeling was employed using SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 25. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to validate the measurement model, and bootstrapping was used to assess the significance of the mediating effect. The results indicated that perceived parental achievement pressure had a significant negative direct effect on children's happiness. Furthermore, self-esteem was found to partially mediate the relationship between parental achievement pressure and children's happiness. These findings highlight the importance of both parental achievement expectations and children's internal psychological resources in shaping their subjective well-being. Practical implications are discussed for developing parent education programs and interventions aimed at promoting children's emotional and psychological well-being.
