예비유아교사의 유아관찰능력에 대한 중요도와 실행도 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아관찰능력의 중요도와 실행도에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구를 위해 유아교육과 4학년 재학생 119명을 대상으로 유치원현장실습 전후에 유아관찰능력의 중요도와 실행도를 평정하도록 하였다. 연구결과, 중요도에 대한 인식은 ‘관찰계획’이 가장 높았으며, ‘관찰실행’, ‘관찰평가’의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 실행도에 대한 인식은 ‘관찰평가’가 가장 높았고, ‘관찰계획’, ‘관찰실행’ 순으로 나타났다. 유아관찰능력의 중요도와 실행도 간 인식 차이를 살펴본 결과, 모든 영역에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으며, IPA 분석을 통해 유지 또는 개선이 필요한 부분을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 중심으로 관찰 및 실습 교과를 운영할 때 예비유아교사들이 실제 교육현장에서의 관찰과 관찰된 자료에 대한 해석의 기회를 제공해야 필요성이 있다는 것을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine pre-service early childhood teachers' perceptions of the importance actual implementation of their ability to observe young children. To achieve this, 119 fourth-year early childhood education students were asked to evaluate the importance and performance of their young child observation ability before and after their kindergarten field practicum. The results showed that, in terms of importance, "planning observations" was rated the highest, followed by "conducting observations" and "assessing observations". In terms of implementation, "assessing observations" was rated the highest, followed by "planning observations" and "conducting observations". A comparison between the perceptions of importance and implementation revealed statistically significant differences across all areas. Furthermore, through Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), aspects that need to be maintained or improved were identified. Based on these results, the study highlights the necessity of providing pre-service early childhood teachers with opportunities to practice observation and interpret observational data in real-world educational settings.
