국문 초록

본 연구는 급변하는 보육환경 속에서 소규모 어린이집 간의 협력과 자원 공유를 기반으로 한 공동체 프로그램을 개발하고, 이에 참여한 원장들의 경험을 질적으로 분석함으로써 상생적 보육문화 조성을 위한 실천적 방향을 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구는 강원도 C시에 소재한 소규모 어린이집 원장 10명을 대상으로 2022년 12월 1일부터 2023년 11월 20일까지 진행되었으며, 공동체 프로그램은 총 8회기로 구성되어 실행되었다. 자료 수집은 면담, 활동일지, 회의록, 참여관찰 기록을 통해 이루어졌으며, 수집된 자료는 주제분석법에 따라 분석되었다. 연구 결과, 참여 원장들은 프로그램을 통해 고립된 운영에서 벗어나 상호 지지적 관계를 형성하고, 실질적인 자원 공유를 통해 운영의 효율성을 높였으며, 리더십과 전문성을 강화하고, 지역사회와의 연계를 통해 보육의 확장 가능성을 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 소규모 어린이집 간 협력 공동체 프로그램이 보육기관의 지속 가능성과 보육 서비스 질 향상에 기여할 수 있는 실천적 대안이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The ongoing decline in birth rates and the resulting reduction in the number of childcare centers have exacerbated operational challenges for small-scale early childhood institutions, raising concerns about the accessibility and quality of childcare services. In response to this structural shift, the present study aimed to develop a collaborative community program for directors of small childcare centers and to qualitatively examine their experiences after its implementation. Conducted in City C, Gangwon Province, the study involved ten directors and was carried out over five phases from December 2022 to July 2023. The eight-session program emphasized inter-institutional cooperation and resource sharing. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, activity journals, meeting records, and participant observations, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Results indicated that the program enabled participants to move beyond isolated operational models, fostering mutual support, increase efficiency through practical resource sharing, strengthen leadership and professional identity, and broaden partnerships with local communities. These findings suggest that collaborative models can serve as viable strategies for enhancing the sustainability and quality of small-scale childcare services. This study provides a foundational basis for cultivating a cooperative, community-based childcare culture and calls for further research that includes encompassing more diverse participants and settings.
