부산 지역어 의문문 형성 방식의 개별적 특성 -대조언어학의 관점에 기초하여-

국문 초록

이 글은 부산 지역어 의문문 형성 방식의 개별적 특성을 대조언어학적인 관점에서 다른 개별 언어와 대조하며 자세히 살펴보았다. 최근 글로컬 및 트랜스-로컬적 관점이 중시됨에 따라 대조언어학에서 흔히 소외되는 지역어를 국가 경계 언어와 동등한 지위에 두고 지역어의 개별성 특성을 언어학적인 측면에서 살펴볼 필요성을 실감하였다. 그리고 특히 부산 지역어의 의문문 형성 방식이 다른 언어들과 차이가 나는 점을 고려하여 그 차이의 현황, 방향성, 문법적 가치 등을 파악하려 노력하였다. 먼저 영어는 주어-조동사 도치를 통해 판정의문문을 만들고, 여기에서 의문사의 가시적인 이동을 통해 설명의문문을 만들었다. 그리고 중국어는 평서문을 기준으로 의문 표지를 통해 판정의문문을 만들고, 평서문을 기준으로 의문사의 비가시적인 이동을 통해 설명의문문을 만들었다. 또 표준 한국어는 의문형 어말어미로 판정의문문을 만들고, 여기에 의문사를 분포하여 설명의문문을 만들었다. 끝으로 부산 지역어는 판정의문형 어말어미로 판정의문문을 만들고, 설명의문형 어말어미로 설명의문문을 만들었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 각 국가 경계 언어와 부산 지역어의 차이를 이론적으로 파악할 수 있었다. 그리고 이에 따라 서로 다른 언어권의 학습자들이 의문문의 차이를 올바르게 이해하고 습득하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study examines the unique characteristics of interrogative formation in the Busan dialect from a contrastive linguistic perspective, comparing them with those of other languages. With the increasing emphasis on glocal and trans-local perspectives, the need to place regional dialects—often marginalized in contrastive linguistics—on an equal footing with national border languages has become evident. This study highlights the linguistic significance of regional dialects and explores the distinct features of interrogative formation in the Busan dialect compared to other languages. The findings reveal that the interrogative formation mechanisms in English, Chinese, Standard Korean, and the Busan dialect all differ significantly. English forms yes/no questions through subject-auxiliary inversion and wh-questions through the visible movement of wh-words. Chinese, on the other hand, constructs yes/no questions using question particles based on declarative sentences and wh-questions through the invisible movement of wh-words. Standard Korean employs interrogative sentence-final endings to form yes/no questions and distributes wh-words accordingly to form wh-questions. In contrast, the Busan dialect forms yes/no questions using yes/no question sentence-final endings and wh-questions using distinct wh-question sentence-final endings. These results provide a theoretical understanding of the differences between national border languages and the Busan dialect. Additionally, they are expected to help learners from different linguistic backgrounds accurately comprehend and acquire interrogative structures across languages.
