국문 초록

인공지능의 발전은 교육계의 방향성을 재고하게 하며, 긍정적인 교육적 효과와 우려 사항을 동반하고 있다. 더불어 인공지능의 발전과 도약 가능성이 높은 만큼 예측 불가능한 미래에 대비할 교육적 필요성이 제기된다. 이에 본 연구는 인공지능 발전에 동반한 미술교육의 과제를 진단하고, 미술교사의 인식 조사를 통해 인공지능기반 미술교육의 활성화 방안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 전국 중, 고등학교 미술교사 36명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하고, 2명의 교사와 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 설문자료의 통계 분석은 SPSS 프로그램을 활용하였고, 설문의 개방형 문항과 인터뷰의 원자료는 반복적 비교분석법을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과 미술교사는 실질적으로 수업 적용이 가능한 연수를 필요로 하며, 미술 교과의 고유성과 창작 활동의 특수성을 유지하며 인공지능을 효과적으로 활용하는 방향을 중요시 여겼다. 더불어 디지털 교육 인프라 개선과 인공지능 윤리 교육의 확대의 필요성을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 미술교육 현장의 요구와 개선방안을 분석하여 인공지능활용의 방향성과 활성화 방안을 도출했다는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) necessitate a reassessment of educational strategies and are accompanied by both positive impacts and concerns. The rapid development of AI underscores the need for education systems to prepare for an uncertain future. This research aims to identify the challenges faced by art education due to AI advancements and to explore strategies for enabling AI-based art education through assessing art teachers' perceptions. Surveys and in-depth interviews were conducted with art teachers from middle and high schools across the country. A total of thirty-six teachers participated in the survey, and two of them, who had experience in conducting AI-based art classes, were selected for in-depth interviews. The survey analysis was conducted using frequency analysis and independent sample t-tests through the SPSS software, while the open-ended survey responses and in-depth interview data were analyzed using repetitive comparative analysis methods. As a result, art teachers have expressed a need for training that includes guidance on AI programs applicable in the classroom, sharing of teaching examples, and provision of instructional materials. Maintaining discussions on preserving the uniqueness of the art curriculum and the distinctiveness of creative activities while using AI effectively as a tool is crucial. From an institutional perspective, 'improving digital educational infrastructure' and 'expanding AI ethics education' are identified as essential needs. The significance of the study lies in its focus on art subjects within AI-based education and its analysis of field requirements, suggesting improvements for future directions and the enhancement of AI use in art education.
