국문 초록

본 연구는 일상생활 경험에 기반한 유아수학교육 수업이 예비유아교사의 인식에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 교육적 의미를 탐색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 혼합연구의 수렴적 설계를 하여 연구를 실시하였다. 연구 참여자는 A시에 위치한 B대학에서 유아수학교육 수업을 수강한 유아교육과 학생 52명이다. 양적 자료수집을 위해 유아수학교육의 목적, 교사역할, 교수자료에 대한 인식을 묻는 여은진(2004)의 설문지를 사용하였으며, 유아수학교육의 내용지식 중요도에 대한 인식에는 김경본(2006)의 설문지를 재구성하여 사용하였다. 질적자료는 예비유아교사들의 저널과 반구조화된 면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과 일상생활 경험에 기반한 유아수학교육 수업은 예비유아교사의 수학교육의 목적, 교수자료, 수학내용지식에 대한 중요도 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 가져왔다. 또한 수학교육에 대한 인식 변화, 유아와 교사에 대한 새로운 관계 정립, 수학 교수효능감 향상을 가져오는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 예비유아교사를 위한 수학교육 강의의 효과를 높일 수 있는 교육방법에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

The aims of this study were to find out the effect of an early childhood mathematics education class based on the everyday experience of prospective teachers’ perception of mathematics education and to explore its meaning. The study participants were 52 students in the Early Childhood Education Department who took classes in B University located in A city. To find out the effect on the prospective kindergarten teachers' perception of mathematics, Yeo Eun-jin (2004) survey, which asked about the purpose of mathematics education, the role of teachers, and the recognition of teaching materials, and Kim Kyung-bon (2006) survey, which asked about the recognition of the importance of the content knowledge of child mathematics, were reconstructed and used. The study found that the early child mathematics education classes based on everyday experiences had a positive effect on the purpose, teaching materials, and the recognition of the teacher role of prospective kindergarten teachers, and the importance awareness of the mathematics contents of prospective kindergarten teachers. Qualitative data collected to explore the meaning of this class were journals of pre-child teachers and semi-structured survey transcripts. The results of this class showed that there was a change in perception of math education, establishment of new relationships between infants and teachers, and improved teaching effectiveness in math. These results provide implications for teaching methods that can enhance the effectiveness of math education lectures for prospective kindergarten teachers.
