어린이집과 유치원의 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서 언어활동 비교 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 어린이집과 유치원의 5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서에 제시된 언어활동의 전반적인 구성경향과 내용범주, 활동접근방법, 집단유형, 활동자료, 발문형식을 비교분석하여 향후 바람직한 방향으로 교사용 지도서의 언어활동이 수정·보완될 수 있도록 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다. 이를 위하여 보건복지부(2012)의 ‘5세 누리과정에 기초한 어린이집 프로그램’ 4권, 교육과학기술부(2012)의 ‘5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서’ 11권, 교육과학기술부(2013)의 ‘5세 누리과정 교사용 지도서 수정·보완서’ 1권에 제시된 의사소통영역 중 587개 활동을 최종 분석대상으로 선정하였으며, 자료분석은 빈도와 교차분석으로 처리하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 언어활동의 전반적인 구성 경향은 두 기관의 언어활동의 분포는 유사하나, 진술체계에서 어린이집은 초등연계와 활동평가 부분이 전혀 제시되지 않은 반면 유치원은 초등연계가 부분적으로 제시되고, 유의점 및 참고사항, 활동평가, 확장활동은 모든 언어활동에 포함되어 있다는 점에서 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 어린이집과 유치원의 5세 교사용 지도서 언어활동은 내용범주, 활동접근방법, 집단유형, 활동자료, 발문형식에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 5세누리과정이 교육적 평등과 양질의 교육·보육을 위해 제정된 만큼 동일연령의 유아들이 교육 수준의 차이로 인해 불이익이 생기지 않도록 교사용 지도서의 언어활동을 구성하고 활용하는데 신중해야 하며, 유아를 위한 언어활동은 내용영역, 교과, 환경이 모두 고려되어 통합과 균형을 이루도록 설계되고 보완되어야 한다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to investigate the overall tendency of language activities suggested in the teacher’s manual for 5 year-old Nuri curriculum of child-care centers and kindergartens and to analyze content categories, activity approach methods, group types, activity materials and inquiry styles by each institution. For this purpose, 587 language activities suggested in the communication area of 4 ‘Child-care center programs based on 5 year-old Nuri curriculum’ published by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, 11 ‘Teacher’s manuals for 5 year-old Nuri curriculum’ published by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and 1 ‘Amendment of teacher’s manuals for 5 year-old Nuri curriculum’ were analyzed. A frequency and cross tabulation analysis was used to analyze the data. The results of this study were as follows. First, regarding the statement system of language activities in the teacher’s manual, in the case of child-care center program, there was no suggestion of kindergarten-elementary linkage and activity evaluation, but in the case of kindergarten, the elementary linkage was suggested partially and activity evaluation and extension activity were included in all language activities. Second, according to the result of analyzing the language activities of the teacher’s manual for 5 year-old Nuri curriculum of child-care center and kindergarten by content category, activity approach method, group type, activity materials and inquiry styles, there was a significant difference with the manual of two groups. The results suggest that the language activities of teacher’s manual should be designed to supplement and amend not to make any difference of educational quality irrespective of its institution.
