국문 초록

그림책을 활용한 수학교육 활동이 의미 있게 이루어지기 위해서는 먼저 교사가 수학교육의 내용을 잘 이해하고 있어야 하고, 수학적 개념을 담고 있는 의미 있는 그림책을 선정하여 수학활동을 계획할 수 있는 능력이 있어야 한다. 그러나 이와 같은 능력은 단기간에 획득되는 것이 아니기 때문에 예비유아교사 시기부터 준비되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 예비유아교사들이 알고 있는 수학 교육의 내용을 바탕으로 작성한 수학활동계획안을 분석하여, 수학교육내용의 활용 정도와 그림책을 활용한 방법에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 참여자인 예비유아교사 56명의 수학활동 계획안 276장을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사는 편중된 수학적 개념을 다루고 있었으며, 일부 수학적 개념을 다른 개념과 혼돈하고 있었다. 둘째, 예비유아교사는 그림책에 제시되어 있는 수학적 개념이나 수학적 상황, 조작적 물체를 활용하는 등의 제한된 활용 방법만을 사용하고 창의적 구성활동이나 그림책을 수학적 문제 상황의 제기로는 활용하지 못하고 있었다.

영문 초록

Math education using picture books at the scene of Early Childhood Education is an effective teaching method which gives positive influences to children's development of math skills. In order for teachers to educate math using picture books, first of all, teachers must comprehend the contents of early childhood mathematics instruction, and they should possess the skills to plan and organize the math activities by choosing appropriate picture books that contain mathematical concepts. These skills, however, cannot obtained in a short period of time, therefore, the preparation must begin from pre-service teachers. Ergo, the main purpose of this research is to confirm the teachers' understanding of early childhood mathematics instructional contents. And find the abilities of mathematical activities planning using picture books. Followings are the results of analyzing 56 pre-service teachers' 276 pages of mathematical activity plans. First of all, It shows that pre-service teachers showed high recognition of basic concept of numbers in mathematical concepts, and on the other hand, they showed low recognition in spatial and pattern senses. Second of all, in mathematical concepts, low division of numbers were well divided whereas their understanding of other mathematical concepts were not well divided. Third, It's been analyzed that pre-service teachers have chosen adequate picture books for math class. Math concepts that pre-service teachers possess will deliver to children, so pre-service teacher institutions must provide appropriate training to pre-service teachers so that they comprehend mathematical concepts properly, without leaning too much on partial concepts.
