유아문학 연구의 동향 분석: 학위논문을 중심으로(1982-2010)

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아문학 관련연구들의 동향을 확인하고자 수행되었다. 이러한 연구를 통하여 유아문학연구의 균형있는 연구를 제안함과 동시에 향후 유아문학 연구의 다양하고 폭넓은 연구를 위한 기초자료를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연도별, 내용범주별, 연구방법 및 자료수집별 연구동향을 살펴보고, 유아문학의 최초 학위논문 발표시기인 1982년부터 2010년 2월까지의 기존 연구들을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 유아문학 연구는 총체적 언어이론이 우리나라에 들어온 1990년대 이후 성장을 보이기 시작했고, 유아교육과정에서 문학이 하나의 독립된 영역으로 구성되어야 함을 주장한 2000년대에 많은 수의 연구들이 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 이들 연구의 대다수가 다른 교과의 도구로서 발달과 학습을 향상시키기 위한 연구들로, 유아문학의 본질에 따른 연구들이 불균형을 이루며 편중된 연구 경향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 유아문학에 매우 중요한 문학 자체의 연구는 매우 부족한 것으로 발견되었다. 또한, 연구방법에서도 대다수의 유아문학 연구가 그림책과 관련된 연계 활동을 실험처치하여 그 효과를 검증한 실험연구와 단순 인식조사들로 이루어져, 보다 심층적이며 질적인 연구 또한 부족함을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

On the premise that young children's literature should be used as a resource of literature education itself, not as a tool to teach other subjects. The purpose of this study is to present a basic background information to enhance the balanced and diverse research on literature education for young children by identifying the contents in young children's literature and the trend in research of young children's literature. This study analysis total two hundred and twenty-five research papers such as master, doctoral theses in the period of 1982 through 2010. The results of this study are as follows. First, the number of dissertations have been continuously increased. The research paper of young children's literature published in 2000 has become an stimulating tool to develop and expand the research of young children' literature. Seconds, Most of dissertations, experiments and difference analysis were methods of study, and books research or book statistics in the children literatures. In conclusion the study of young children's literature, the research trend should be changed to teach the contents of literature and study the qualitative research method.
