그림자료를 활용한 이야기꾸미기 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 그림자료를 활용한 이야기꾸미기 활동이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구 대상은 경기도 소재의 U시 지역의 사회․경제적 배경이 비슷한 2개 유치원에 재원 중인 만4세 유아 30명이었다. 실험집단의 유아들은 그림책의 그림, 명화그림, 사진그림의 9가지에 대한 이야기를 총 9회 꾸며보고 그 활동결과를 책으로 만들어 보는 활동을 진행하였고, 비교 집단의 유아들은 동화를 듣고 이야기를 다시 말해보는 활동을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 연구결과는 그림자료를 활용한 이야기꾸미기 활동을 실시한 실험집단 유아들이 동화를 듣고 이야기를 다시 말해보는 비교집단의 유아들보다 전체 창의성과 유창성, 융통성, 독창성이 향상되는데 효과가 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과에 비추어 볼 때, 그림자료를 활용한 이야기꾸미기 활동은 유아의 창의성 신장에 긍정적인 기여를 할 수 있을 것이라는 것이 밝혀졌다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of story making activities using picture on young children’s creativity. The subjects of the study were 30 young children of under age of 4 attending at kindergartens located in U city, Gyeonggi-do. The procedure of the study was conducted by story making activities 1 time 1 week, which were 9 times for 9 weeks, and pretest and posttest to measure changes of creativity improvement. The results of the study were as follows : First, the creativity improvement score showed statistically significant differences among the experimental group conducted by story making using picture and the control group conducted by fairy tales listening and retelling activities. Second, the improvement score of fluency, flexibility, originality as sub-factors of the experiment group conducted by story making activities showed statistically significant differences rather than the control group conducted by fairy tales listening and retelling activities. Considering the results of the study, story making activities using picture can positively contribute to young children’s creativity improvement.
