국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영아와 교사가 함께 만들어가는 영아반 교육과정의 협력적 실행과정을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구자는 2019년 6월 17일∼2020년 1월 31일까지 K도 W시에 소재한 무지개 어린이집에서 만 1세 6명, 만 2세 4명으로 혼합된 해님반의 공동 담임인 김 교사, 박 교사와 협력적 실행연구를 수행하였다. 해님반은 영아를 부족한 존재로 바라보는 교사들의 신념으로 인해 ‘영아와 교사의’ 교육과정이 아닌 ‘교사의’ 교육과정으로 실행되었고, 이러한 문제 인식을 토대로 영아와 교사가 함께 만들어가는 교육과정으로 개선하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 협력적 실행과정은 ‘1차 실행: 영아의 놀이 존중하기’, ‘2차 실행: 영아의 놀이 관찰기록하기’, ‘3차 실행: 영아의 놀이로 교육과정 구성하기’였다. 연구 협력자들은 영아의 놀이를 존중하고, 놀이 관찰기록을 하고, 대화와 반성을 포함하는 협의 및 의사결정을 하여 다음 놀이 지원계획을 세웠으며, 흘러가는 과정을 지켜보면서 영아가 주도적으로 세상과 소통할 수 있도록 지원하였다. 이를 통해 교사에 의해 만들어진 교육과정을 실행하는 것이 아닌 영아와 교사가 교육과정의 주체가 되어 함께 만들어가는 교육과정을 실행할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 협력적 실행과정은 영아와 교사가 함께 만들어가는 교육과정 실행이 강조되는 시대적 변화와 요청 속에서 구체적이고, 실제적인 자료를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the collaborative implementation process of the toddler class curriculum that toddlers and teachers make together. Researcher conducted collaborative execution research with Haenim class’ co-class teachers, Kim and Park, at the Rainbow Daycare Center located in W city, K province from June 17, 2019 to January 31, 2020. Haenim class is a mixed class of six one-year olds and four two-year olds. The Haenim class, was implemented as a ‘teacher’s’ curriculum rather than a ‘toddler and teacher’s’ curriculum due to the teachers’ belief that toddlers are incompetent. Based on the recognition of this problem, they wanted to improve the curriculum as the one created together by toddlers and teachers. This study’s collaborative implementation process was carried out with ‘first practice: Respecting toddlers’ play’, ‘second practice: Recording observations of toddlers’ play’ and ‘third practice: Configuring the curriculum with toddlers’ play’. Research collaborators respected competent toddler play, recorded observations, and made consultations and decisions that included dialogue and reflection to plan the next play support. And while watching the flow of the process, they supported toddlers to take the initiative in establishing relationship and communication with the world. By this process, they could establish a collaborative curriculum that toddlers and teachers create together as main agents of the curriculum, which is distinguished from implementing a curriculum made only by teachers. The collaborative implementation process of this study is expected to provide concrete and practical data amid the changes and demands of the times emphasizing the implementation of a curriculum created by toddlers and teachers together.
