결혼이민자 한국 문화 교육을 위한 한국어교재 문화영역 개선 방향에 관한 고찰-국제 통용 한국어 표준 교육과정 관점 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 결혼이민자를 대상으로 하는 초, 중급의 한국어 교재에 수록된 내용 중 문화 기술항목과 질문 유형을 ‘국제 통용 한국어 표준 교육과정’과 비교분석하여 향후 교재 개정시 필요한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 위하여 다음과 같은 연구 과정을 따랐다. 첫째, 미국과 유럽의 해외 교육 과정을 중심으로 문화 교육 관점과 문화 교육 방향성을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 국립국어원에서 최근 출간한 결혼이민자 대상 초, 중급 한국어 교재를 선정하였고, 선정된 한국어 교재 각 단원별로 수록된 문화 항목의 비중을 파악하였다. 셋째, 선정된 한국어 교재 내용 중 문화 영역에 수록된 질문을 교육과정 기준과 비교하여 분류하고 분석하였다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국어 교재에 수록된 문화 항목은 일상생활에 편중되어 있다는 한계점을 보였다. 둘째, 질문 유형 양상을 살펴본 결과 예시로 제시된 질문이 비교적 단순하고 다양한 상황을 반영하는 데는 한계가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 결혼이민자들을 대상으로 하는 초, 중급 한국어 교재를 보완할 때는 문화항목의 편중성 극복, 교재 수록 질문의 다양화 등에 대한 고민이 필요함을 고찰해 볼 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze cultural technology items and question types among elementary and intermediate Korean textbooks for marriage immigrants with ‘International Standard Korean Curriculum’ to derive implications for future textbook revisions. For this purpose, the following research process was followed. First, we examined the perspective of cultural education and the direction of cultural education, focusing on overseas curriculum in the United States and Europe. Second, elementary and intermediate Korean textbooks for marriage immigrants recently published by the National Institute of Korean Language were selected, and the proportion of cultural items included in each selected Korean textbook was identified. Third, among the contents of the selected Korean textbooks, questions contained in the cultural area were classified and analyzed by comparing them with curriculum standards. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the cultural items contained in Korean textbooks showed limitations that they were concentrated in daily life. Second, as a result of examining the pattern of question types, it was analyzed that the questions presented as examples are relatively simple and have limitations in reflecting various situations. Therefore, when supplementing elementary and intermediate Korean textbooks for marriage immigrants in the future, it was considered that it is necessary to overcome the bias of cultural items and diversify questions in the textbooks.
