국문 초록

누가복음 10장에 수록된 선한 사마리아인 비유는 그동안 도덕적 교훈이 나 윤리적 본보기로 주로 해석되어 왔으나, 본 연구는 이러한 접근을 넘어 누 가가 의도적으로 설계한 문학적 기법과 구조를 해석의 출발점으로 삼는다. 성서 텍스트는 단어를 넘어선 구조와 문학적 기법, 그리고 내러티브의 분위 기를 통해 독자의 내면에 시각적·공간적 이미지를 형성하며, 해석의 방향 을 유도한다. 이러한 특성에 주목하여 본 연구는 누가가 구성한 문학적 복선 을 중심으로 본문을 재해석하고자 한다. 특히 세 편의 선행 연구를 통해 밝 혀진 바와 같이, 이 비유는 단락적 교차대칭 구조, 서사 간 구조, 상호텍스트 성 등의 문학적 복선 위에 구성되어 있으며, 이는 단지 본문 자체의 메시지를 분석하기보다, 누가가 구성한 내러티브의 흐름과 의도를 따라 읽는 해석 방 식(textual intent reading)을 요구한다. 본 논문은 이러한 기법적 토대를 바탕 으로, 비유를 여섯 개의 “장면-이미지” 단위로 분절하고, 각 장면이 생성하 는 상징과 시각적 흐름이 어떻게 하나의 신학적 메시지, 곧 구속 서사를 형 성하는지를 조명한다. 특히 신약성경 전체에서 단 한 번만 사용되는 단어들 (hapax legomena)에 주목하여, 예수께서 이 비유 안에 “단 한 번의 구속”이라 는 신학적 메시지를 언어적 차원에서 설계하셨음을 밝혔다. 이처럼 누가가 설정한 구조와 언어는 독자의 해석을 유도하며, 이 비유를 “죽음을 기다리 는 실존”과 “다가오시는 하나님의 구속적 은혜”가 만나는 신학적 내러티브 로 읽게 만든다. 본 연구는 이를 통해 성서의 구조, 상징, 내러티브, 구속사적 흐름을 통합적으로 고려하는 신학적 리터러시(theological literacy)의 적용 모 델을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The Parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10 has often been interpreted through moral or ethical lenses. This study proposes an alternative reading grounded in the narrative structures and literary devices deliberately embedded by the evangelist Luke. Biblical texts, beyond the level of words, generate visual and spatial imagery within the reader’s imagination through narrative atmosphere, structure, and literary composition, thereby guiding the direction of interpretation. Attending to this textual dynamic, the paper approaches the parable not merely as content to be decoded but as a carefully crafted theological narrative that must be read in light of its textual intent. Building upon three prior studies that have identified chiastic structure, internarrative structure, and intertextual references (notably to Ezekiel 34), this research reads the parable through a six-scene image-based structure. Each scene generates symbolic and visual motifs that together form a redemptive progression. Special attention is given to ten hapax legomena—Greek words that appear only once in the New Testament—each of which serves as a linguistic marker of divine initiative, mercy, and once-for-all redemption. These rare terms are not incidental but strategically positioned to deepen the theological architecture of the narrative. Rather than presenting the Samaritan as a model of moral action, this paper interprets him as a Christological figure who intervenes in the existential death of humanity with divine grace. By tracing the literary design that Luke constructs, the study reframes the parable as a theological narrative in which death-bound existence meets the approaching mercy of God. This reading offers a model of theological literacy—a mode of interpretation that attends to Scripture’s structure, symbolism, narrative flow, and redemptive intent.
