국문 초록

본 연구는 기후 위기 시대에 대응하는 대학 글쓰기 교육의 새로운 방향으로서 생태작문(ecocomposition)의 이론적 토대와 교육적 적용 방안을 탐색하였다. 생태작문은 글쓰기와 장소, 자연, 담화 간의 관계를 연구하는 분야로, 환경에 대한 비판적 의식 접근법과 담화 생태학적 접근법을 통합한다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 생태작문의 이론적 배경으로 생태언어학과 사회적 실천으로서의 글쓰기 개념을 고찰하였다. 이어서 대학 글쓰기 교육에서 환경 실천으로서의 글쓰기를 효과적으로 통합하기 위한 네 가지 교육적 원리로 학제적 읽기 자료의 통합, 생태적 언어 사용, 생태계로서의 글쓰기 이해, 교실을 넘어선 독자와의 소통을 제시하였다. 이러한 이론적 논의를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 기후 성찰 에세이와 기후 해결 보드게임 프로젝트라는 두 가지 구체적인 교육 모델을 제안하였다. 이러한 교육적 실천은 학생들이 생태적 시민으로서의 정체성을 형성하고 환경 실천의 주체로 성장할 수 있도록 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 대학 글쓰기 교육이 기후 위기 시대에 생태적 사고와 실천을 촉진하는 중요한 매개체로 기능할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고자한다.

영문 초록

This study explores the theoretical foundations and educational applications of ecocomposition as a new direction for university writing education in response to the climate crisis. Ecocomposition is a field that studies the relationship between writing, place, nature, and discourse, integrating both critical consciousness and discursive ecology approaches. The study first examines the theoretical background of ecocomposition, focusing on ecolinguistics and writing as social practice. It then presents four educational principles for effectively integrating environmental practice in university writing education: interdisciplinary integration of ecological reading materials, critical awareness of ecological language use, understanding writing as an ecosystem, and communication with readers beyond the classroom. Based on this theoretical discussion, two specific educational models are proposed: climate reflection essays and climate solution board game projects. These educational practices can contribute to students forming identities as ecological citizens and growing as agents of environmental practice. This study demonstrates the potential for university writing education to function as an important medium for promoting ecological thinking and practice in the era of climate crisis.
