국문 초록

배경 및 목적: 음성문제는 언어발달장애 아동에게서 흔히 나타나는 의사소통 문제로, 이들의 의사소통 및 사회적 적응에 부정적 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 이들의 음성문제 평가 및 중재 현황, 그리고 언어재활사의 교육 요구도에 관한 연구가 부족하다. 본 연구는 언어재활사의 언어발달장애 아동 음성문제 평가 및 중재 경험, 교육 요구도를 파악하고자 하였다. 방법: 사설 언어치료기관에근무하는 언어재활사 145명을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 설문지는 음성문제 평가 및 중재 경험, 음성문제 관련 지식 및 교육 경험, 언어발달장애 아동의 음성문제 평가 및 중재에 대한 필요성 인식 및 교육 요구도를 조사하는 30문항으로 구성되었다. 결과: 응답자 중82.1%가 음성문제를 동반한 아동을 본 적이 있다고 응답했으나, 음성문제 평가 및 중재에 대한 전문적 지식이 있다고 응답한 비율은 각23.4%와 19.3%였다. 또한, 응답자의 81.4%가 음성문제 관련 추가 교육이 필요하다고 답하였다. 논의 및 결론: 언어발달장애 아동의 음성문제는 간과되어서는 안 되는 중요한 문제이며, 대학 및 대학원 과정에서의 체계적인 교육과 졸업 후 보수교육 확대가 필요하다. 특히, 간단히 적용할 수 있는 평가 및 중재 도구 개발과 이를 활용한 교육이 요구된다. 본 연구는 국내 언어재활사의 음성문제 평가 및 중재 실태와 교육 요구도를 확인하였으며, 이는 아동 음성문제 중재 및 예방에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives: Voice problems are common in children with language disorders, affecting communication and social adaptation. However, research on the evaluation and interven tion of these problems and the educational needs of speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in South Korea is limited. This study aimed to explore the experiences and educational needs of SLPs regarding voice problem evaluation and intervention in children with lan guage disorders. Methods: A survey was conducted with 145 SLPs working in private speech therapy institutions. The 30-item questionnaire addressed their experiences with voice problem evaluation and intervention, related knowledge and educational experi ences, and perceptions of the necessity and demand for education on voice problems in children with language disorders. Results: Among the respondents, 82.1% had encoun tered children with voice problems, but only 23.4% and 19.3% considered themselves pro fessionally knowledgeable in evaluating and intervening in such cases, respectively. Additionally, 81.4% expressed the need for further education on voice problems. Conclusion: Voice problems in children with language disorders are an important issue that must not be neglected. Systematic training during undergraduate and graduate programs, along with expanded post-graduation education, is crucial. Developing practical tools for evaluating and intervening in voice problems and incorporating them into educational pro grams is highly recommended. This study provides essential data on the practices and educational needs of SLPs, contributing to improved intervention and prevention strategies for managing voice problems in children.
