트랜스아이덴티티 스토리텔링 이론 기반의 범용 서사도식 구축에 관한 연구: 트랜스아이덴티티 이론의 담론화를 위한 초석으로서의 시론

국문 초록

이 글을 통해 나는 트랜스아이덴티티 스토리텔링 이론을 기반으로 하여 오늘날 시도되고 있는 다양한 방식의 영상 스토리콘텐츠에 공통적으로 적용할 수 있는 범용 서사도식을 도출해내기 위한 시론적 성격의 탐구를 진행하고자 했다. 그 과정에서 보편적 재미 요인을 창출해 내는 가장 작은 단위의 핵심적인 이론을 트랜스아이덴티티 스토리텔링의 ‘아이덴티티 브리지’로 전제하고, 이를 기반으로 ‘산업적 맥락에서 실패하지 않는 서사구조’를 만들어낼 수 있는 방법론을 위상기하학의 개념을 빌어 와 탐구하였다. 비록 이 글에서 제기한 ‘위상서사학’ 개념이 위상기하학적 개념과 1:1로 면밀하게 딱 맞아떨어질 수는 없겠지만, 이종의 분과학문이 갖고 있는 사유적 체계와 논리를 참고하여 융합적 사고를 도모하고자 했다. 이러한 융합적 사고의 결과, 스토리콘텐츠의 보편적 재미라는 가치는 매체 그 자체, 혹은 매체를 다루는 기술과 기법에서창출되는 것이 아니라 매체를 넘나들며 타고 흐르는 서사를 운용하는 방식, 즉 스토리텔링 방식에서 창출되는 것임을 재확인할 수 있었다. 더불어 본 논고에서 ‘보편 가상 이야기의 구조를 형성하는 가장 단순하고 기본적인 구조 층위’의 핵심 뼈대로 추출한 트랜스아이덴티티 이론의 아이덴티티 브리지 개념은 구조주의 서사학에서 규명하고 있는 가상의 이야기(Fictional Story)의 조직 방식을 가장 단순화시켜 놓은 구조로서 오늘날 대중의 마음에 호소할 수 있는 범용 서사 도식을 도출해내기 위한 열쇠로 기능함 역시 확인할 수 있었다. 이것은 상술했던 대로, 범용 서사도식 구축에 유의미한 재료가 될 뿐만 아니라 스토리텔링 이론을 넘어 현실 사회문제를 해석하는 담론체계로 확장하기에도 용이한 이론적 기틀이 된다는 점에서 추후 후속 연구가 활발히이루어질 경우 스토리콘텐츠와 현실 사회문제를 동일한 관점에서 분석하고 해석할 수있는 트랜스아이덴티티 담론 체계를 구성할 수 있으리라고 여겨진다. 예술로서 영화의 가치를 현실의 재현과 반영에서 찾는 관점이 상당수임을 고려할 때, 서사와 현실을 다함께 해석할 수 있는 담론 체계의 정립은 인문학 버전의 만물 이론(Theory of Everything) 역할을 수행할 수 있지 않을까 생각하며 적극적인 후속 연구의 진행을기대한다.

영문 초록

Through this article, based on trans-identity storytelling theory, I attempted to conduct a poetic exploration to derive a general narrative schema that can be commonly applied to the various types of video story content being attempted today. In the process, the core theory of the smallest unit that creates universal fun factors is premised on the ‘identity bridge’ of trans-identity storytelling, and based on this, a methodology that can create a ‘narrative structure that does not fail in an industrial context’ was explored by borrowing the concept of topology. Although the concept of ‘topological narratology’ raised in this article may not closely match the concept of topology in a 1:1 manner, it is intended to promote convergent thinking by referring to the ideological systems and logic of different disciplines. did. As a result of this convergent thinking, the value of the universal fun of story content is not created from the medium itself or the technology and techniques of handling the medium, but from the method of operating the narrative that flows across media, that is, the storytelling method. I was able to recheck. In addition, the identity bridge concept of transidentity theory, extracted as the core framework of ‘the simplest and most basic structural layer that forms the structure of a universal virtual story’ in this paper, is a method of organizing a fictional story identified in structuralist narratology. As the most simplified structure, it was also confirmed that it functions as a key to deriving a general narrative schema that can appeal to the public’s mind today. As mentioned above, this is not only a meaningful material for building a general-purpose narrative schema, but also a theoretical framework that is easy to expand beyond storytelling theory to a discourse system that interprets real social problems, so if follow-up research is actively conducted in the future, story content It is believed that it will be possible to construct a trans identity discourse system that can analyze and interpret social and real-life social problems from the same perspective. Considering that many perspectives find the value of film as art in the reproduction and reflection of reality, the establishment of a discourse system that can interpret both narrative and reality can serve as a humanities version of the Theory of Everything. I think this may be the case and look forward to active follow-up research.
