초등학교 실과 실습실의 작업대 공간 구성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 실과 실습실의 작업대 공간구성을 구안하는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 실과 실습실의 실태 조사와 2009 개정 실과교육과정을 분석하여 실습 관련 영역의 설비를 선정 하였다. 그리고 인천시내 초등학교에서 재직 중인 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사를 하여 실과 실습실 작업대 공간 구성에 대한 요구도를 분석하였다. 이 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개별형 실과 실습실은 일반적인 6인용 작업대의 배치에 개수대는 설치되어 있지 않은 형태이며, 학생을 관찰하기 위한 시야가 충분히 확보되는 장점이 있다. 둘째, 모둠형 실과 실습실에는 4인용 작업대를 배치하고, 개수대를 내부에 설치하여 기술 실습과 가정 실습의 수업을 모두 할 수 있도록 구안되었다. 작업대와 개수대의 일체형을 설치하여 학생의 동선이 짧아 안전지도에 효과적이다. 셋째, 절충형 실과 실습실에는 개별형과 모둠형의 특징을 고려하여 4인용 정방형 작업대를 배치하였고 개수대는 작업대와 분리하여 설치하였다. 이와 같은 연구 결과에 기초한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생 수가 줄어드는 현실을 고려할 때, 가장 적절한 실과 실습실의 작업대는 4인용 직사각형이다. 학급의 인원이 줄어들면서 예전의 6인 모둠 보다는 4인 모둠을 선호하기 때문이다. 둘째, 학생들을 관찰하기 위한 시야가 확보되어 단일 실습활동을 하기에 적절한 작업대 공간 구성은 개별형 실과 실습실이다. 실습 활동을 위한 작업대 공간 배치는 6인용 작업대를 배치한다. 셋째, 학생들의 이동 동선이 짧아 안전지도에 효과적인 작업대 공간 구성은 모둠형 실과 실습실이다. 여기에는 4인용 작업대 내부에 개수대가 설치되어 한 장소에서 다양한 실습을 할 수 있다. 넷째, 실습을 동시에 모둠별로 할 수 있는 작업대 공간 구성은 절충형 실과 실습실이다. 개수대를 작업대와 분리 설치함에 따라 학생들의 동선이 길고, 시야확보가 좋지 않지만, 실습을 동시에 모둠별로 할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study was to plan workbench space configuration for Practical Arts laboratory at elementary schools in order to achieve the educational goals presented in the Practical Arts Curriculum most effectively. For this purpose, we surveyed the current state of Practical Arts laboratory at elementary schools and the 2009 Revised Practical Arts Curriculum, and chose equipment in areas related to practice. In addition, a questionnaire survey was conducted with teachers working at elementary schools in Incheon City and their demand of workbench space reallocation for Practical Arts laboratory was analyzed. For the survey, 30 elementary schools in Incheon were sampled as the primary sampling unit through stage sampling, and teachers at the schools were sampled as the secondary sampling unit through random sampling. From the results were drawn conclusions as follows: First, considering the decreasing number of students, the most adequate workbench for Practical Arts laboratory is of the four‐person square type. It is because four‐person groups are preferred to six‐person ones due to the reduced size of class. Second, the conventional‐type laboratory is adequate for a single practice activity because it provides a broad field of view for supervising the students. Workbench space relocation for practice activities adopts six‐person workbenches. Third, the group‐type laboratory is effective for safety guidance because of its short traffic line. As a sink is installed on a four‐person workbench, the room allows various practice activities. Fourth, with the combined‐type laboratory, students can have practice activities by group simultaneously. As a sink is installed separately from the workbench, students’ traffic line is long and the field of view is narrow, but this type allows the simultaneous performance of practice activities by group. Based on the results of this study, suggestions are made as follow for future research. As the scope of survey in this study was limited to teachers in Incheon Metropolitan City, a nationwide survey on space reallocation is necessary.
