갑골복사에 나타난 商代 대외전쟁 - 卜辭에 기록된 제사와 戰爭을 중심으로

국문 초록

갑골 卜辭 중에는 商代의 전쟁과 관련된 내용이 많이 보인다. 전쟁은 살아남기 위한 투쟁으로서 불가피하게 진행되었고, 이러한 전쟁을 통하여 고대중국인들은 상대보다 월등한 武器를 보유하기 위하여 각종 도구 제작 능력을향상시켰다. 그리고 이러한 도구를 農耕에도 함께 사용함으로써 생산력의 증대를 이루었다. 또한 강한 상대와 대적하기 위하여 약한 부족 간의 연맹이 이루어졌고, 이러한 과정은 결국 국가라는 조직을 만드는 원동력이 되었다. 현재 발견된 甲骨文은 盤庚이 도읍을 遷都한 다음 273년간 사용된 것으로, 卜辭에 기록된 商代의 전쟁은 商代 後期에 해당하는 것이다. 또 甲骨文 중 많은 양은 董作賓이 제 1기로 분류한 武丁 시기의 것으로, 『甲骨文合集』에 수록된 41,956편의 甲骨 중에서 武丁 시기의 甲骨은 摹本인 제 13冊에 수록되어 1,338편을 합친 총 23,874편으로 전체의 반 이상을 차지한다. 그러므로 商代의 전쟁과 관련된 卜辭의 기록은 武丁 시기의 것이 가장 많고 내용 또한 다른 시기의 것에 비하여 다양하고, 商代의 전쟁과 관련된 연구는 대부분 武丁 때의 卜辭들이다. 갑골문에 나타난 전쟁에 대한 기록을 보면 변경지역에서 적국의 동태를 정찰하고 이를 상왕에게 보고했다. 적국의 침입 여부와 전쟁에서의 승리 여부를 조상신이나 자연신에게 제사를 지내면서 점을 쳤으며, 전쟁에 동원된 군사는 많게는 1만 3천명에 이르고, 전쟁에 참여한 군사 중에 2,656명이 희생되기도 했다.

영문 초록

Many of the Oracle Bone Scripts are related to the war of the Shang Dynasty. The war inevitably progressed as a struggle to survive, and through these wars, the ancient Chinese improved their ability to make various tools in order to possess weapons superior to their opponents. And by using these tools together in agriculture, productivity was increased. In addition, a league between weak tribes was formed to confront strong opponents, and this process eventually became the driving force behind the formation of an organization called the state. The current Oracle Bone Script was used for 273 years after 盤庚 transferred the capital, and the war in Shang Dynasty recorded in the Oracle Bone Script corresponds to the late Shang Dynasty. In addition, many of the Oracle Bone Scripts were from the period of King MuJeong, which 董作賓 classified as the first phase, and out of the 41,956 shells listed in 『甲骨文合集』, the Oracle Bone Script from the period of King MuJeong was included in the 13th book of the model, accounting for more than half of the total with 23,874 pieces including 1,338. Therefore, the records of Oracle Bone Scripts related to the war in Shang Dynasty are the most from the King MuJeong's period and the contents are more diverse than those of other periods, and most of the studies related to the war in Shang Dynasty are based on Oracle Bone Scripts from the time of King MuJeong's reign. Looking at the records of the war in Oracle Bone Script, the movements of the enemy country in the border area were reconnoited and reported to the king. The invasion of the enemy and the victory of the war were marked by a ritual to the ancestors or natural gods, and as many as 13,000 soldiers were mobilized in the war, and 2,656 were killed among the soldiers who participated in the war.
