영문 초록

This study begins from the recognition that grasping producers’ speculation system is considerably important in understanding of their works. The speculation system of author has been only accessed by viewpoint of dramatization so far when literature is made into a film. This study focuses on the thinking system found in written by Murakami Haruki, an author highly respected as a postmodern author influenced by American literature and in the film of the same title directed by Tran Anh Hung. The nature-friendly symbolism and the exploration into human nature in the novel and the film is in collusion with Taoism. This paper, firstly,looks at the characteristics of Tran Ahn Hung showed in his film and then access to the speculation system revealed in the changed part that has dramatized and expressed in films. Taoism philosophical framework is found in Tran Anh Hung’s film version in the sequence of Naoko’s nursing home episode where shots were largely focused on natural landscapes rather than on people. The fact that the film is centered on sex also proves that it bases itself upon Taoist philosophy which centers on human instincts. This isn’t irrelevant to Haruki’s work so this study examined that the duality of language and the impossibility of its delivery were explored in relation to Lao-tsu’s . In addition, this study tried to reveal that the quotation of a number of music scores is the result of Haruki’s emotion/instinct-centered thoughts, and that Lao-tsu’s correlational thoughts-where life and death are not separate but simply a correlational difference-are reflected in Haruki’s works. The characters’choice and attitude toward suicide in can also be seen as the characteristics of Japanese culture. Haruki’s description of the violent student protests in the 1960s even shows a sense of personal loss. Because of these features, is post-modern, and that is where it meets with Taoism philosophy. This paper sees the similarities between the speculation system of Lao-tzu and the one of and refutes the idea that the film only highlights the sexual part from the original novel. It also reveals that the novel is simply more than a memorandum full of growing pains and hurts from love but it is a work created in the deeper thinking system watching nature and human. The novel is originated from the underlying reason beyond reality rather than ignoring his age and history. This study is the first of its kind into the film ,and has the significance of being the first thesis that applied Taoism philosophical framework to interpreting it.
