영문 초록

The purpose of this paper was to propose the strategy of using information & communication technology(ICT) in teaching and learning of practical arts education. This study was carried out as follows: First, literature on teaching and learning methods in elementary practical arts education was reviewed. Second, the types of ICT applicable to different types of classrooms were investigated. Third, the strategies of using ICT were suggested. Finally, the web sites closely related to each unit of the subject based on the 7th National Curriculum were introduced; they can be searched through Empas and Yahoo Korea. Practical arts education is the subject which emphasizes experience; thus, the best method of teaching and learning is. to learn through experience and doing. ICT in practical arts education, however, should be used to overcome spatial, temporal, economical limitations. And, all teachers must make every effort to share useful information and multimedia contents.
