교수학습센터(CTL)의 대학강의컨설팅 영역 현황 및 개선방향에 대한 이론적 근거

국문 초록

본 연구는 지금까지 국내 대학에서 이루어지는 교수들의 강의컨설팅이 주로 무엇을 컨설팅 하는지 그 내용영역을 성찰하고 제한점 및 다음 단계로 어떻게 개선되어야 하는지 Masolw 욕구이론 근거로 살펴보고 구체적인 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 전국 6개 지역 10개 대학 강의컨설팅 도구들 대상으로 연구자 및 G대학 3명 대학원생이 (현)컨설팅 내용을 분석하고 또한 욕구이론과의 관련성을 검토하였다. 연 구결과 대부분 대학 강의컨설팅 내용은 강의전략중심(강의구조, 강의방법, 언어-비 언어적행동, 상호작용, 시공간활용 등)으로 이루어지고 있었다. 욕구위계론으로 보면 (현)강의컨설팅은 주로 학습자들의 자아실현욕구 즉 인지적 측면 촉진에 치중하고 있었다. 한편, 욕구이론은 강의컨설팅이 자아실현욕구 촉진 중심으로 이루어지는 것은 학습에 더 우선적인 소속감 및 존중감 등의 정서적욕구들은 거의 고려하지 못하므로 장기적으로 강의개선 효과에 상당한 제약점이 있음을 시사하였다. 따라서 강의컨설팅 내용을 현재 학생들의 인지적 측면 뿐 아니라 다음 단계로 정서적 측면을 동시에 균형있게 고려 할 수 있도록 컨설팅 영역 및 내용을 보완-확대하는 것이 절실히 필요함을 제안하였다. 이러한 강의컨설팅 개선 방향은 욕구이론 근거뿐만 아니라 우수 대학강의 실증적 연구결과들로도 뒷받침하였다.

영문 초록

This study is to provide improvement suggestions for college teaching consulting content domains. The researcher intended to find improvement directions for CTL’s college teaching consulting. She reviewed the basic teaching consulting categories iand analyzed the contents and the limitations of them. Then the researcher drew some insights from Maslow s needs hierarchy theory. She collected the consulting tools from 10 different universities in 6 provinces around nation. The researcher and three graduate students analyzed them to see what the consulting contents and analyzed the relevances between the consulting domains and needs hierarchy. It is found that the contents of consulting were focused on teaching strategies (teaching structure, teaching methods, verbal or non-verbal activities, interaction, time management, etc). The consulting with mainly these teaching strategies means that it focused mostly with how to motivate students cognitive level of desires. This situation revealed some limitation based on needs hierarchy theory since the theory stresses that cognitive desires would be well activated when emotional needs are properly satisfied in advance. Therefore it is suggested that the college teaching consulting domains need to be extended to see how professors deal with more of psychological fields of students and to help how they could improve those factors in classroom teaching circumstance.
