한국공안행정 분야의 연구경향에 관한 실증적 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 지난 14년간 한국공안행정학회보에 게재된 총 274편의 논문을 실증적으로 분석하여 공안행정 분야의 연구경향을 살펴보았다. 이를 토대로 공안행정 연구 분야에 대한 연구경향의 평가와 함께 향후 발전 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 분석기준은 크게 세가지로 나누고 있는데 우선, 연구자의 특성별 경향은 성별 분포, 소속의 기관별 분포 및 지역적 분포 그리고 직업과 학위별 분포에 대해서 분석하였다. 그 결과로 우선, 성별의 경우 94.5%가 남성 연구자, 소속기관의 경우 86.5%가 대학기관에 소속 되었고 지역별로는 게재논문의 50% 이상이 수도권 중심에 편중되고 있다. 둘째, 연구 영역별 연구경향을 살펴보면 우선 게재된 논문의 연구비 지원여부에 있어서 18.2%, 연구 주제의 경우 대상 논문의 53.3%가 경찰학 분야에 치중하고 있고 연구의 초점은 84.7%에 해당하는 논문이 기술적 연구에 치우지고 있다.. 마지막으로 연구방법별 경향을 살펴보면 질적 연구가 전체연구의 85%에 해당하고 양적연구의 경우 전반적으로 기술통계에 해당하는 빈도분석이, 인과관계 분석에 해당하는 회귀분석, 상관관계분석이 주류를 이루고 있다.

영문 초록

This research was attempted to examine closely the research trends in the Korean public safety and criminal justice by analyzing empirically the 274 papers published in the KAPSCJ (Korean Association of Public Safety and Criminal Justice) Journal over the last fourteen years. The criteria for analysis were largely divided into three areas as follows: First, the trends by researchers’ characteristics were analyzed according to the distributions of their genders, organizations, regions, and occupations/academic degrees. As the result, male researchers accounted for 94.5%; 86.5% of researchers were those affiliated with educational institutions; and more then the half were from institutions located in the metropolitan areas including. Second, with regard to rsearch sponsorship’ specific area of interest and level of analysis, it was found that the researches with the financial sponsorship accounted for 18.2%; that 53.3% were police related; and that 84.7% were descriptive studies. Finally, it was shown that qualitative researches accounted for 85%, and of quantitative ones, they employed frequency analysis for the descriptive purposes, and correlation regression and for causal analysis were rately used.
