국문 초록

이 글은 2000년대 여성시에 나타난 ‘몸’의 전략을 김이듬ㆍ문혜진의 텍스트를 중심으로 살폈다. 2000년대 여성시에서 몸은 어떤 전략으로 사용되는지, 2000년대 여성시만의 ‘몸’의 특성은 있는지를 탐색하기 위하여 ‘몸’에 대해 가장 급진적인 논의를 펼친 보드리야르의 이론을 참조하여 두 시인의 시를 읽었다. 보드리야르에 의하면 탈근대사회에서 인간의 몸은 더 이상 주체가 가리키는 대상도, 의미를 가진 신체도 아니다. 꾸며낸 것, 조작된 것, 기호적 가치로 생산ㆍ소비되는 것일 뿐이다. 따라서 이 세계에 대응하려면 ‘몸’을 더욱 꾸며내거나 투명하게 드러내어 주체를 유혹하거나 위협하는 숙명적 전략을 사용해야 한다. 김이듬ㆍ문혜진의 시는 보드리야르의 이론을 충실히 따르는 것으로 보인다. 이들이 시는 가상세계를 통해 몸을 더 외설스럽게 더 투명하게 드러내어 주체를 유혹한다. 이는 몸의 ‘억압’을 강조했던 이전의 여성시와는 확연한 차이를 드러낸다. 김이듬은 사물화, 유령화, 양성화된 몸을 통해 탈근대의 불구화된 존재들을 그려낸다. 그러나 그 절망감을 직접적인 언술로 표현하지 않고 묘사와 침묵의 간접적인 방식을 통해 지금-여기의 현실을 더 강렬하게 보여준다. 문혜진은 살과 피와 뼈로서의 몸을 통해 근대의 거대한 우상을 무너뜨린다. 이는 현실 문제를 근원세계로 끌고 가서 보여주려는 전략이다. 인간이 동물과 다르다 해도 동물일 뿐이라는, 스스로 숭고한 존재라고 믿어온 그 자체가 절망적인 사회를 만들어냈다는 것을 역설하는 것이다. 절망스럽고 황폐해진 세계를 담담한 어조로 드러내면서도 웃음을 유발하는 이들의 전략은 현실의 문제를 주체뿐 아니라 대상의 문제로 확대하여 환기하고 있다는 점에서 의미 있다.

영문 초록

This summary address the portrayal of the body in women’ poems in the 2000s drawing mainly from the works of Kim Eedeum and Moon Hyejin. To find out how women’s bodies are used, and if characteristics of the body exist in recent women’s poetry, I read two poets’ poems from the perspective of Jean Baudrillard who posits a radical view about the ‘body’. According to Baudrillard, in post-modern society the body is neither an object of a subject, nor a meaningful figure. It is fabricated, made-up; non-essential goods just being produced and consumed. So, to adjust itself to this world, it has to fabricate itself more or show itself more clearly to attract or threaten other subjects. It seems that Kim Eedeum and Moon Hyejin’s poems align with Jean Baudrillard’s theory. In their poems the bodies are described as more obscene and transparent to seduce subjects in their imaginative world. They are clearly different from earlier women’s poems which emphasized the repressed body. Kim Eedeum depicts the disabled of post-modernism by depicting the body materializing, ghostlike and bisexual, However, she doesn’t express their despair directly. Instead, she show the sense of reality strongly with her indirect method of description and silenced. Moon Hyejin destroys the looming modern idol with the body of flesh, blood and bones. This strategy seeks to show how our reality takes us to the place of origin. The paradoxical idea that we are different from animals while knowing we are animals, and the thought that we are nob le, puts stress on a society. It is meaningful that their strategy of describing a hopeless, ruined world in quiet tone - but at the same time with fun - evoked the problem of real life both subjectively and objectively.
