국문 초록

출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 총 262명의 표본자료를 수집하여 t검증, Borich 요구도 분석과 Locus for Focus 모델을 활용함으로써 IU-EXCEL 교육모델의 세부 역량 요소 중에서 교육적 개선이 가장 시급한 항목을 확인하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 저학년의 경우, IU-EXCEL 교육모델에서 가장 우선적으로 고려되어야 할 항목으로 협력적 문제해결, 협력을 통한 결과 도출, 명확한 문제 정의, 계획 수립, 분석적 사고에 대한 교육요구도가 높았다. 둘째, 고학년은 경청, 협력적 문제해결, 명확한 문제 정의, 논리적 사고를 최우선 요구 항목으로 인식하였다. 셋째, 전체 학생을 대상으로 한 분석 결과, 가장 시급하게 개선이 요구되는 항목에는 협력적 문제해결, 협력을 통한 결과 도출, 명확한 문제 정의, 계획 수립, 논리적 사고 등 다섯 개의 항목이 포함되었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 학년별 발달 수준을 반영한 맞춤형 교육과정 설계의 필요성을 제기하였으며, 학습자 중심 교육의 효과적인 실천을 위한 정책적 제언을 중심으로 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze college students’ educational needs regarding the IU-EXCEL educational model by examining the differences between perceived importance and performance levels of its detailed components, and to identify their priorities. Data from 262 students were analyzed using t-tests, Borich needs assessment, and the Locus for Focus model to identify priority areas for educational improvement. Results showed that lower-year students prioritized needs in collaborative problem solving, cooperation, problem definition, planning, and analytical thinking. Upper-year students highlighted listening, collaborative problem solving, problem definition, and logical thinking. Overall, five competencies—collaborative problem solving, cooperation, problem definition, planning, and logical thinking—emerged as critical areas needing improvement. These findings underscore the necessity for tailored curriculum reflecting students’ developmental stages and offer policy implications for effectively implementing learner-centered education.
