국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 신입생의 자기주도성에 영향을 미치는 심리·행동적 요인을 탐색하고자 그릿, 진로태도성숙, 대학몰입과의 관계를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 국내의 한 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 신입생 379명을 대상으로 자기주도성, 그릿, 진로태도성숙, 대학몰입을 측정하는 검사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료에 대해 기술통계분석을 실시하고, 각 영역들 및 하위 요인들 간의 상관분석을 실시하였다. 종속 변인으로 설정한 자기주도성에 미치는 세 독립 변인들의 영향력을 알아보기 위해 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 세 변인 중 연구 참여 대학 신입생들의 자기주도성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인은 그릿이었고, 하위 요인 분석 결과 그릿의 꾸준한 노력, 진로태도성숙의 준비성, 확신성, 독립성 등이 유의미한 영향 요인으로 확인되었다. 자기주도성의 자율성 요인에는 진로태도성숙의 확신성과 독립성 등이, 목표지향 요인과 책임감 요인에는 그릿의 꾸준한 노력과 진로태도성숙의 준비성 등이 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 신입생의 자기주도성 향상을 위해 정서적 지속력과 진로준비역량을 포괄하는 통합적 교육 및 상담 지원의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effects of grit, career attitude maturity, and institutional commitment on college freshmen’s self-directedness. A total of 379 freshmen enrolled in a four-year university in South Korea participated in the study. Measurements included validated scales assessing self-directedness, grit, career attitude maturity, and institutional commitment. Descriptive statistics and correlation analyses were conducted to examine the relationships among the variables and their sub-factors. To identify the predictors of self-directedness, stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. The findings revealed that grit was the most significant predictor of self-directedness. A sub-factor analysis found that perseverance of effort in grit and readiness, certainty, and independence sub-factors in career attitude maturity had significant effects. Autonomy in self-directedness was primarily influenced by certainty and independence in career attitude maturity, and goal orientation and responsibility by perseverance of effort in grit and readiness in career attitude maturity. These results highlight the importance of providing integrated educational and counseling support that strengthens emotional persistence and career preparation competences to promote self-directedness of college freshmen.
