후암동 문화주택을 활용한 마을박물관 조성 방안 연구

국문 초록

후암동은 일제강점기에 일본인들의 새로운 거주지로 주목받으며, 당시 일본에서 유행하던 문화주택이 확산되었다. 후암동 문화주택은 근현대 주거사 흐름을 보여주는 자료 측면에서 보존가치가 충분하지만, 현재 무분별한 변형과 재건축으로 방치되어 있다. 이에 본고는 후암동 문화주택의 가치를 보전 활용할 수 있는 방안으로 마을박물관 조성을 제시하였다. 이 과정에서 본고가 참조한 사례는 인천 미추홀구 마을박물관으로, 이곳은 주민들 스스로가 마을의 역사를 주체적으로 전시․기획․수집하는 큐레이터가 되어 마을박물관을 주도적으로 운영하고 있다는 점에서 특징적이다. 이를 참고하여 본고는 후암동 문화주택의 가치를 보전하고 추체험해볼 수 있는 ‘문화주택-기록-전시-오픈스페이스’를 연동시킨 거점지 조성 방안과 이를 기점으로 한 문화 거버넌스 구축을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 후암동 문화주택이 가진 장소성․역사성․문화정체성 확립과 보존하는 데 보탬이 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

During the Japanese colonial period, Huam-dong attracted attention as a new residential area for Japanese people, and cultural housing popular in Japan at the time was popular. Although the cultural housing in Huam-dong has sufficient preservation value in terms of materials showing the flow of modern and contemporary housing history, it is currently neglected due to indiscriminate modification and reconstruction. Therefore, this paper proposes the establishment of a village museum as a way to preserve and utilize the value of the cultural housing in Huam-dong. The case referenced in this paper is the village museum in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, which is unique in that the residents themselves are the curators who actively exhibit, plan, and collect the history of the village and take the lead in operating the village museum. Referring to this, this paper proposes a plan to link ‘cultural housing-record-exhibition’ to preserve and re-experience the value of the cultural housing in Huam-dong, and the establishment of cultural governance based on this. This will help establish and preserve the sense of place, historicity, and cultural identity of the cultural housing in Huam-dong.
