교류분석 이론 기반 성격적응, 자아상태, 인생태도의 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 교류분석 상담이론에서 개념화된 성격적응, 인생태도, 자아상태 간의 상호 연관성을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 대도시 대학의 재학생 140명을 대상으로 한국어판 성격적응척도(K-JPAQ), 자아상태 척도, 인생태도 척도를 온라인 조사하고 SPSS 29로 기술통계 및 상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째 기능적 자아상태 중 NP, A, FC는 자기긍정(I’m OK)과 유의한 정적 상관을 보여주었고, AC는 자기부정(I’m Not OK)과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 타인긍정(You’re OK)과 유의한 정적 상관을 보인 기능적 자아상태는 NP와 FC였으며, 타인부정(You’re Not OK)과 유의한 정적 상관을 보인 기능적 자아상태는 CP이었다. 둘째, 창의적이고 자유로운 성격적응 특성들(CD, PR)은 FC 자아상태와, 통제적이고 비판적인 성격적응 특성들(CM, BS, RW)은 CP 자아상태와, 사고력이 뛰어나고 책임감 있는 성격적응 특성들(BS, RW)은 A 자아상태와, 독자적인 사고가 우월하고 반응적인 성격적응 특성들(CM, EO)은 AC 자아상태와 각각 통계적으로 유의한 정적 상관관계를 보여주었다. 셋째, EO를 제외한 모든 성격적응 특성들(CD, CM BS, PR, RW)은 타인부정(You’re Not OK)과 모두 유의한 정적 상관을 보여주었고, EO는 자기긍정(I’m OK)과 타인긍정(You’re OK)과 유의한 정적 상관을 보여주었다. 4가지 인생태도 변인 모두와 유의한 상관관계를 보여준 성격적응 특성은 발달 단계에서 가장 먼저 형성되는 창의적 몽상가(CD)로 나타났다. 이상의 세가지 주요 연구결과는 성격적응 유형이 자아 에너지 분배와 자기․타인에 대한 인식 태도와 이론적으로 잘 결합된 개념임을 실증적으로 증거하는 연구 결과이며, 성격적응 유형을 교류분석 상담에서 개인별 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 TA 개입 및 상담 프로그램 실행에 활용될 수 있는 경험적 근거를 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study empirically analyzed the intercorrelations among personality adaptations, life positions, and ego states as conceptualized within Transactional Analysis (TA) theory. Data were collected online from 140 university students in a metropolitan area using the Korean versions of the Personality Adaptation Questionnaire (K-JPAQ), Ego State Scale, and Life Position Scale. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were performed using SPSS 29. The analysis revealed the following: First, Among functional ego states, Nurturing Parent (NP), Adult (A), and Free Child (FC) were significantly positively correlated with the I’m OK life position (positive self-regard). Adapted Child (AC) was significantly positively correlated with the I’m Not OK position (negative self-regard). NP and FC were significantly positively correlated with the You’re OK position (positive regard for others), while Critical Parent (CP) was significantly positively correlated with the You’re Not OK position (negative regard for others). Second, The Creative-Daydreamer (CD) and Playful-Resister (PR) adaptations were significantly positively correlated with the Free Child (FC) ego state. The Charming-Manipulator (CM), Brilliant-Skeptic (BS), and Responsible-Workaholic (RW) adaptations were significantly positively correlated with the Critical Parent (CP) ego state. The Brilliant-Skeptic (BS) and Responsible-Workaholic (RW) adaptations showed significant positive correlations with the Adult (A) ego state. The Charming-Manipulator (CM) and Enthusiastic-Overreactor (EO) adaptations were significantly positively correlated with the Adapted Child (AC) ego state. Thrid, All personality adaptations except Enthusiastic-Overreactor (EO) - namely Creative-Daydreamer (CD), Charming-Manipulator (CM), Brilliant-Skeptic (BS), Playful-Resister (PR), and Responsible-Workaholic (RW) - were significantly positively correlated with the You’re Not OK life position. Enthusiastic-Overreactor (EO) was significantly positively correlated with both the I’m OK and You’re OK positions. Notably, the Creative-Daydreamer (CD) adaptation showed significant correlations with all four life position dimensions. These findings empirically validate that personality adaptation types integrate theoretically with ego energy distribution and self/other perceptual frameworks. The results provide practical evidence for developing personalized TA interventions and counseling programs that account for individual differences in personality adaptations.
