국문 초록

본 연구는 성인 장애인의 자살 생각에 영향을 미치는 요인을 다차원적으로 분석하여 이들의 정신건강 취약성에 대한 이해를 도모하고 자살 예방을 위한 실천적 함의를 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2023년 장애인실태조사 자료 중 만 19세~64세 성인 장애인 3,612명을 대상으로 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 개인 심리적 요인 중 삶의 만족도, 스트레스 인지 수준, 슬픔․절망감 경험, 주관적 차별 인식이 자살 생각 정도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 사회적 요인으로는 디지털기기(휴대폰, 스마트폰) 사용 여부가 유의미한 영향으로 확인되었다. 사회적 지지 요인으로는 아플 때 도움을 요청할 수 있는 타인의 부재가 유의미한 영향을 나타났다. 또한 통제 변수로는 교육수준과 건강보험 가입형태가 자살 생각과 관련된 유의미한 영향으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 성인 장애인의 자살 예방을 위해 개인의 심리적 어려움뿐 아니라 사회적 환경 및 지지체계의 복합적 요인을 고려한 통합적 개입이 필요함을 시사하며, 장애인의 정신건강 증진을 위한 정책과 프로그램 확대방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the multifaceted factors influencing suicidal ideation among adults with disabilities and to provide practical implications for suicide prevention by deepening the understanding of their mental health vulnerabilities. Using data from the 2023 National Survey on Persons with Disabilities, logistic regression analysis was conducted on a sample of 3,612 adults aged 19 to 64 with disabilities. The results indicated that life satisfaction, perceived stress, experiences of sadness and hopelessness, and perceived discrimination—among personal psychological factors—had significant effects on suicidal ideation. Regarding social factors, the use of digital devices (such as mobile phones or smartphones) was significantly associated with suicidal ideation. Among social support factors, the absence of someone to ask for help when sick also showed a significant impact. Additionally, among control variables, the highest level of education and type of health insurance enrollment were found to be significantly related to suicidal ideation. These findings highlight the necessity of an integrated intervention approach that considers not only psychological difficulties but also social environments and support systems. The study suggests expanding policies and programs aimed at enhancing the mental health of adults with disabilities.
