국문 초록

The aim of this research was to analyze adequate picture books for young children sex education and provide the basic educational data for sex education. For this research, 168 books related to sex education published in the years 2013 to 2016 were chosen for analysis. These books were analyzed with the 2015 General Standards for kindergarten sexual education, which are human development, human relationships, sexual health, and society and culture. The result of the analysis indicates some general features. First of all, the number of sexual education books for children from abroad and from within the country was not much different. In case of children’s stories, there were more realistic stories. In the case of pictures, realistic expressions were frequently seen. Secondly, the domains within the General Standards of kindergarten sex education demonstrated to be in the order of human relationships, human development, society and culture, and sexual health.
