국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 학업능력이 학습 준비도를 매개로 학령기 학업 스트레스에 미치는 종단 적 영향을 알아봄으로써 이론적 근거 자료를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구를 위해 한국아동패널 7차년도(5세)와 11차년도(9세) 자료를 사용하였으며, 총 1,165명의 유아를 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 분석방법은 AMOS 29.0을 사용하여 구조방정식 모형으로 연구 변인 간 경로를 확인하고 통계적 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아기 학업능력 은 학습 준비도에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 유아기(5세) 학습 준비도는 초등학교 4학년 학령기(9세) 학업 스트레스에 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 유아기(5세) 학업능력은 학습 준 비도를 매개하여 초등학교 4학년 학령기(9세) 학업 스트레스에 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연 구 결과는 학령기 학업 스트레스를 줄이기 위하여 유아기의 학업능력과 학습 준비도를 증 진하여야 함을 의미한다. 유아교육분야에서 학업능력과 학습 준비도의 증진을 위하여 다 각적인 방안을 모색해야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the longitudinal impact of early childhood academic ability on academic stress during the school years, focusing on the mediating role of school readiness. Utilizing data from the 7th (age 5) and 11th (age 9) waves of the Panel Study on Korean Children, a total of 1,165 young children were selected as the study in the analysis subjects. Structural equation modelling was conducted using AMOS 29.0 to identify the paths between research variables and verify statistical significance. The results of the study were as follows: First, early childhood academic ability had a positive effect on school readiness. Second, early childhood (age 5) school readiness had a negative effect on academic stress in the 4th grade of elementary school (age 9). Third, early childhood (age 5) academic ability had a negative effect on academic stress in the 4th grade of elementary school (age 9) through school readiness. These results highlight the importance of fostering academic ability and school readiness in early childhood as a strategy to alleviate academic stress later in development. It suggests that the field of early childhood education should seek diverse methods to improve academic ability and school readiness.
