만 4세반 인성교육을 위한 버디 프로그램 실행 과정에서의 교사 경험과 변화에 대한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 만 4세반 유아들의 인성교육을 위한 버디 프로그램 실행과정에서의 교사 경험과 변화를 탐구하였다. 만 4세반 담임으로 이 연구의 참여자이자 연구자가 만 5세반 교사와 버디 프로그램을 실행하면서 이루어진 6개월간의 대화, 참여관찰, 연구자 저널을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 나는 버디프로그램을 실행하면서, 유아들이 서로 협력할 수 있는 기회를 갖도록 해주고, 서로 존중하는 태도를 경험할 수 있게 하였으며, 관계의 범위를 넓혀 함께 사는 삶을 일상 속에서 실천할 수 있는 기회를 제공해 주었다. 실행연구 과정을 통한 교사의 변화는 ‘유아들의 변화에 민감한 교사되기’, ‘반성적 사고를 통해 변화의 주체가 되는 교사되기’, ‘협력을 통해 함께 성장하는 교사되기’였다. 이 연구는 인성교육을 위한 버디 프로그램의 활용 가능성을 보여주고, 유아교사들에게 버디 프로그램의 현장 실천에 도움이 되는 정보를 제공함으로써 유아교육분야의 학문적, 실천적 발전에 기여할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences and changes of teachers during action research on the implementation of the buddy program for the character education of four-year-olds’. To achieve this purpose, I, as a classroom teacher of the four-year-olds, a researcher and a participant, collaboratively implemented a buddy program with Ms. Lee, a classroom teacher of five-year-olds. During this, I observed my own experiences and changes as a teacher. Data collection was conducted through conversations with Ms. Lee, a participant observation, and through research journals. I explored how I had changed as a teacher while I was implementing the buddy program. The main themes of my experiences as a teacher who implemented the buddy program were ‘investigating the improvement required for a better buddy program from the analysis of the group activities’, ‘focusing on respecting each other’, and ‘pursuing living lives with others.’ During the buddy program, I became ‘a teacher who is more sensitive to the changes of infants’ and ‘a teacher who lives my life as an agent of change through reflective thinking.’ This research will contribute to the area of early childhood education academically and practically by introducing the buddy program for the character education of young children’ and early childhood teachers and enable its possible implementation in the field of early childhood education.
