국가무형유산 전수교육관의 문화유산 교육 확대 방안 : 염색장 종목을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 국가무형유산 염색장 전수교육관의 교육 프로그램 성과를 평가하고, 전통 염색 기술 보존과 확산을 위한 교육 확대 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전수교육관의 활성화 사업과 전승 지원 사업에 참여한 교육생 및 행사 참여자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 정량적 데이터를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 2020년부터 2024년 활성화 사업 설문조사에서 교육생의 전반적인 만족도는 평균 8.7점(10점 만점 기준)의 평가를 받았으며, 재참여 의사 또한 8.9점으로 나타나 전통 염색 기술에 대한 체계적 교육의 효과가 확인되었으며, 이 점수들은 매년 점진적으로 개선되는 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 전수교육관이 체계적인 전통 염색 교육과 지역사회 연계를 통해 전통문화 보존과 대중적 확산에 있어 그 역할이 점점 커지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 교육 대상의 불균일성이 문제로 지적되었다. 전수교육관이 전문 교육 기관으로 확장됨에 따라 성인과 전문가 중심의 교육이 강화되는 반면, 학생을 대상으로 한 교육 기회가 줄어들고 있어 이를 보완하기 위한 대안이 필요한 상황이다. 특히, 늘봄학교와 방과후학교와의 연계를 통해 학생 대상 프로그램을 확대하고, 전통 염색 기술에 대한 체험 기회를 제공해야 한다는 점이 강조되었다. 넷째, 디지털 콘텐츠를 활용한 프로그램 확장, 지역 축제와의 협력을 통한 주민 참여 확대, 전담 인력 배치를 통한 운영 체계 개선 등의 방안이 제시되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 전통 염색 기술의 보존과 현대적 활용을 위한 교육 체계의 방향성을 제언하며, 전수교육관이 전통문화의 지속 가능성과 대중적 접근성을 확보하는 데 있어 핵심적 역할을 수행할 수 있음을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study evaluated the performance of educational programs at the Kwanchae Jung's Natural Dyeing Transmission Center and proposed strategies for expanding education to preserve and disseminate traditional natural dyeing techniques. A quantitative analysis was conducted based on survey data collected from participants in the Center's Activation Projects and Transmission Support Programs. The results revealed several key findings. First, from 2020 to 2024, the average satisfaction score for participants in the Activation Projects was 8.7 out of 10, with a re-participation willingness score of 8.9, indicating the effectiveness of systematic education on traditional dyeing techniques. These scores showed a gradual improvement over the years. Second, the Training Center has been playing an increasingly significant role in preserving traditional culture and promoting its widespread dissemination through structured traditional dyeing education and strong community engagement. Third, disparities in educational target groups were identified as a concern. As the Training Center evolved into a specialized institution, education for adults and professionals became more prominent, while opportunities for student education declined. To address this, it is emphasized that collaboration with programs such as Neulbom School and After-School School is essential to expand student-targeted programs and provide experiential opportunities for traditional dyeing techniques. Fourth, strategies such as expanding programs using digital content, increasing community participation through local festivals, and enhancing operational efficiency with dedicated personnel were proposed. Based on these findings, this study suggests directions for the development of an educational system aimed at preserving traditional dyeing techniques and enhancing their modern application. The study highlights the Training Center's pivotal role in ensuring the sustainability and accessibility of traditional culture in contemporary society.
