국문 초록

본 연구는 웹툰 창작 활동이 배려 역량 증진에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 하남시 소재 M 초등학교 4학년 23명을 대상으로 실행 연구를 진행하였다. 효과적인 웹툰 창작 활동을 위해 여러 플랫폼 중 투닝을 선정하여 수업에 활용하였다. 연구 결과는 배려 역량에 대한 선행연구 고찰을 통해 추출한 타인 입장 이해하기, 타인 감정 공감하기, 배려행동 실천하기라는 배려 역량 요소에 따라 연구 목적에 맞는 자료를 수집 및 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 웹툰 창작 활동이 친구와의 갈등을 예방하고 해결하는 데 이바지하며, 배려 역량을 증진하는 효과적인 수단임을 확인할 수 있었다. 학생들은 웹툰을 통해 인지적, 정의적, 행동적 영역에서의 배려 역량을 증진하고 이를 일상생활에 적용할 수 있었다. 이에 웹툰 창작 활동이 학생들의 배려 역량을 실질적으로 증진하고 학교폭력 예방 및 친구 관계 개선에 기여할 수 있다는 교육적 시사점을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the impact of webtoon creation activities on the enhancement of caring competencies. The action research was conducted with 23 fourth-grade students at M Elementary School located in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. To facilitate effective webtoon creation activities, the platform Tooning was selected and utilized in the lessons. The research collected and analyzed data aligned with the study’s objectives, focusing on the elements of caring competencies identified through a review of previous studies: understanding others' perspectives, empathizing with others' emotions, and practicing caring behaviors. The results demonstrated that webtoon creation activities contribute to preventing and resolving conflicts among peers and serve as an effective means to enhance caring competencies. Students were able to improve their caring competencies in cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains through webtoons and apply these skills in their daily lives. Therefore, this study suggests that webtoon creation activities can practically enhance students' caring competencies and contribute to the prevention of school violence and the improvement of peer relationships, offering valuable educational implications.
