‘즐거운 생활’ 통합에 대한 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 즐거운 생활의 교과 내용을 통합의 관점에서 비판적으로 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 문헌 연구를 통해 우선 통합교육에 대한 이해를 높이고 미술교과에서 논의되는 통합, 융합 수업에 대해 논의한다. 이어서 통합교과로서 즐거운 생활 교과를 이해하고 2022 개정 교육과정과 교과서를 검토한다. 그리고 이에 기초하여 즐거운 생활 통합 방식과 내용을 비판적으로 분석하였는데, 다음과 같은 문제점을 도출할 수 있었다. 첫째, 주제 중심의 탈 교과적 통합을 추구하지만 실제로는 동일한 주제를 다루는 학습 내용의 병합에 지나지 않는다. 둘째, 즐거운 생활 교과 내에서도 미술, 음악, 체육의 연결내용이 표피적인 주제라는 한계에 머물러 있어 통합의 의미를 찾기 어렵다. 셋째, 통합적인 주제 제시로 인해 아동미술의 표현발달단계에서 1, 2학년 단계에 중요한 미술을 통한 자아 표현이 제한받게 되고, 결과적으로 이 시기에 나타나는 풍부한 미술 표현이 억압되는 경향이 있다. 넷째, 놀이 경험 중심 교과 통합을 지나치게 강조함으로써 1, 2학년 단계에 필요한 지식, 이해의 학습 내용 부재를 초래한다. 다섯째, 표현 주제 중심의 통합으로 인해 조형 요소와 원리, 표현 재료와 방법과 같은 미술의 형식에 관한 교육내용이 축소된다. 여섯째, 주제 중심의 탈 교과적 통합을 추구하지만 실제로는 미술 교과서 내용을 부분적으로 차용하는데, 체계성과 정확성이 결여된 채 제시된다. 일곱째, 주제 중심 통합으로 미술교육의 내용 위계가 간과되고 있다. 이러한 문제점은 1, 2학년의 교과 내용의 질적인 구성을 위해서는 주제 중심 통합을 하는 즐거운 생활 교과에 대한 전면적인 재검토가 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to critically analyze the contents of integrated subjects of art, music, and physical education from an integrated perspective. I first increase our understanding of integrated education through literature research and discuss integrated and convergence classes discussed in art subjects. Next, I review the integrated curriculum and the 2022 revised curriculum and textbooks. Based on this, I critically analyzed the curriculum integration method and content, and was able to identify the following problems: integration, which is nothing more than a merging of learning content that covers the same topic, limit to superficial connection of topics even within the integration of art, music, and physical education subjects, suppression of self-expression through art due to presentation of integrated themes, absence of learning content of knowledge and understanding due to excessive emphasis on play experience-centered curriculum integration, reduction of educational content on art form, such as design elements and principles, and expression materials and methods resulting from the integration of the theme of expression, lack of systematicity and accuracy in partial borrowing of art textbook content, error in hierarchy of art education content through subject-centered integration. These problems suggest that a comprehensive reexamination of curriculum integration and subject-centered integration is necessary to construct qualitative contents of art, music, and physical education subjects in the first and second grades.
