국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화 아동·청소년의 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 요인을 생태체계적 관점에서 살펴보기 위하여 이루어졌다. 이를 통하여 다문화 아동·청소년의 학교생활 적응을 향상하기 위한 개입방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여, 최청락 등(2021)이 실시한 부산지역 다문화가족 자녀 적응실태 및 지원방안의 데이터를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구분석데이터는 총 402명(초등학생 190명, 중학생 126명, 고등학생 86명)이었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인체계요인 중 다문화 아동·청소년의 학교생활 적응에 현재 학교 성적 수준과 한국어 사용능력 자아존중감은 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 미시체계요인 중 다문화 아동·청소년의 학교생활 적응에 친구와의 관계, 선생님과의 관계, 외국 부모의 한국어 능력은 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 거시체계요인은 통계적으로 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 기반으로 다문화 아동·청소년의 학교생활 적응을 향상시키기 위한 개입방안으로 다문화 아동·청소년을 대상으로 하는 직접적인 개입방안 외에 다문화 가정의 부모나 사회적 지원을 통한 간접적인 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to examine the factors influencing the school adaptation of multicultural children and adolescents from an ecological systems perspective. The aim was to propose intervention strategies to enhance the school life adaptation of multicultural children and adolescents. For this purpose, data from a study on the adaptation status and support measures for children of multicultural families in the Busan area conducted by Choi Jeong-Rak et al.(2021) was utilized for analysis. The research analysis data consisted of a total of 402 participants, including 190 elementary school students, 126 middle school students, and 86 high school students. The results of the study are as follows: First, among the individual system factors, current academic performance and Korean language proficiency self-esteem positively impacted the school life adaptation of multicultural children and adolescents. Second, among the microsystem factors, relationships with friends, relationships with teachers, and the Korean language proficiency of foreign parents were found to have a positive impact on the school life adaptation of multicultural children and adolescents. Based on these findings, intervention strategies were suggested for direct interventions targeting multicultural children and adolescents and for indirect interventions through parental or social support to improve their school life adaptation.
