유아의 사회성을 위한 ETC를 활용한 집단미술치료 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 표현치료연속체(Expressive Therapies Continuum: ETC)를 활용한 집단미술치료를 통해 유아들의 사회성 향상을 살펴보기 위한 사례연구이다. 연구의 대상은 S시 소재 어린이집을 다니는 사회성 향상이 요구되는 6세 유아들 중 어린이집 담임교사와 담당 사회복지사의 추천으로 의뢰되어 먼저 사전 예비관찰을 진행하고, 유아의 담임교사가 실시한 한국 유아사회성기술검사(K-SSRSP)에서 총점 200점 중 109점 평균 이하의 점수를 받은 4명을 최종적으로 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 기간은 2019년 9월부터 2019년 12월까지 주 1회 60분씩 총 13회기로 진행되었다. 연구도구는 한국유아사회성기술검사(K-SSRSP를 양적․질적으로 분석하였고, ETC의 발달적 위계에 따라 회기별로 질적 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국유아사회성기술검사 점수가 향상하여 사회성에 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, ETC의 각 수준에서 유아들은 긴장감 감소와 정서표현이 증가하며 또래간의 결속력을 강화시키고 행동조절력과 질서의식이 향상되었다. 또한 효율적 대처에 따른 사회구성원으로서 긍정적인 상호작용의 경험은 타인이해와 대인관계 능력을 키워 문제해결과 자신감의 사회성기술을 향상시켰다고 본다. 본 연구는 ETC를 활용하여 유아의 사회성 향상을 위한 기초적 임상자료를 제공했다는 것에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this case study was to examine the improvement in sociality of preschoolers through group art therapy using ETC (the expressive therapies continuum). Regarding the subjects of this study, the preliminary observation was conducted of six-year old children whose sociality needed to be improved in a daycare center of S city. Four who received scores lower than the average (109) of total score (200) on the Korean Social Skill Rating Scale for Preschoolers (K-SSRSP) were finally selected. A total of 13 sessions of therapy were provided for 60 minutes per session once a week from September 2019 to December 2019. As the research tool, this study quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed the K-SSRSP and then researchers conducted the qualitative analysis of each session according to the developmental hierarchy of ETC. The results of this study were as follows: First, the score of K-SSRSP was improved, which had positive effects on the sociality. Second, each level of ETC led to the strengthening of solidarity between peers and the improvement of behavioral regulation and order consciousness. Also, the experience of positive interactions followed by an efficient response as a member of society improved their social skills such as problem- solving and confidence by developing their abilities related to understanding others and engaging in interpersonal relationships. The study is significant to provide basic clinical data for improving the sociality of preschoolers by using ETC.
