국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 현행 학교 교육과정 설계의 문제를 진단해보고 그 문제에 대한 한 가지 해결방안을 논의하여 그 현장 적용 가능성을 탐구하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 연구를 위하여 관련 문헌분석과 비판적 탐구를 진행하였다. 우선 교육과정 설계의 문제로 첫째, 교육과정의 목적과 목표가 모호하고, 둘째, 주로 내용을 기반으로 교육과정이 설계되고 운영되며, 셋째, 1, 2세대의 교육과정 매핑에 안주하고 있어 21세기 역량을 평가하기에 적합하지 않다는 점을 제시하였다. 이에 대한 해결방안으로 교육효과에 해당하는 학습성과 중심의 교육과정 청사진을 기반으로 하여 백워드 매핑 설계를 활용하는 학교 교육과정 설계 방안을 제안하였다. 아울러 그 핵심적 설계 방안을 통해 교육효과를 확인할 수 있는 초석과제 중심의 평가를 계획하고 이러한 평가와 실제 상황에서 학생들이 자신의 능력과 기능을 발휘할 수 있는 다양한 학습경험 계획의 필요성을 확인하였다. 연구결과: 이러한 설계 방안은 학교 교육과정 개발에서 도입, 적용 가능성과 수업과 평가에서의 변화 가능성을 제시한다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구에서 제안되는 새로운 방안은 불확실한 미래를 대비하기 위해 학생들의 삶에 의미 있고 진정한 도움을 줄 수 있는 학교 교육과정을 가능케 하는 실효적인 수단이 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the applicability of current school curriculum design problems by diagnosing them and discussing one solution to the problem. Method: For the study, relevant literature analysis and critical exploration were conducted. First of all, due to the problem of curriculum design, it suggested that the purpose and goals of the curriculum were ambiguous, second, the curriculum was designed and operated mainly based on content, and third, it was not suitable for evaluating the capabilities of the 21st century. As a solution to this problem, we proposed a school curriculum design plan that utilizes backward mapping design based on a blueprint of learning outcomes-oriented curriculum that corresponds to educational effects. In addition, it was confirmed that it is necessary to plan a cornerstone task-oriented evaluation to check the educational effectiveness and to plan various learning experiences for students to display their abilities and functions in these assessments and real situations. Results: These design measures present a potential for introduction and application in the development of school curriculum and for changes in classes and evaluations. Conclusion: To prepare for an uncertain future, this study hopes for a school curriculum that can be meaningful and truly helpful to students lives, and suggests a school curriculum design based on backward mapping, focusing on blueprinting the curriculum and the design of the cornerstone task.
