국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 ‘2015 개정 교육과정’에 의거하여 개발·보급된 5,6학년 체육과 검정 교과서 도전, 경쟁영역의 내용 정확성과 타당성을 분석하는 것이다. 8개의 출판사, 16종의 5,6학년군 체육과 검정 교과서를 대상으로 하여 연구자와 공동연구자가 범주화 매트릭스에 작성한 분석 결과를 3명의 현장교사와 함께 전문가 협의를 통해 주관적 해석의 편견을 바로 잡는 진실성을 확보하고자 하였다. 연구결과 경기규칙과 방법, 동작수행과 상황에 따른 삽화와 사진의 정확성과 교육과정, 운동지식과 학생수준에 관한 내용지식의 타당성으로 범주화되었다. 삽화와 사진 분석에서 운동원리와 규칙이 올바르게 시각화되지 않는 사례들을 발견할 수 있었으며 동작수행과 상황에서 부자연스러운 동작과 장면, 텍스트와 괴리된 시각자료, 안전하지 않은 학습환경 등의 정보를 볼 수 있었다. 내용지식의 타당성에서는 체육과의 영역과 교과역량과의 관계가 일관되지 않아 교과서 개발 설계 단계에서 재개념화의 필요성을 언급하였다. 또한 학생이 학습 후 할 수 있거나 할 수 있기를 기대하는 능력 또는 도달점이라는 2015 개정 교육과정 내용체계의 ‘기능’을 수업절차의 단계로 인식하는 것은 국가수준 교육과정에서 의도한 ‘기능’의 개념을 곡해하는 것이라고 논의하였다. 질 높은 체육과 검정 교과서 개발을 위해서는 개발 과정에 현장적합성 검토 과정을 거치고 심의과정에서 내용의 정확성과 타당성을 강화한 검정기준 마련이 시급하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the accuracy and validity of the contents of challenging activities and competitive activities in fifth and sixth grade elementary school physical education authorized textbooks developed and supplied in accordance with the ‘2015 revised curriculum’. Sixteen types of fifth and sixth grade elementary school physical education authorized textbooks from eight publishers were applied as research subjects and with analysis results written on categorization matrixes by researchers and collaborators, efforts were made to secure truth that can correct the biases of subjective interpretations through expert consultations with three field teachers. Research results made categorizations of game rules and methods, the accuracy of illustrations and photographs according to movements and situations, and the validity of content knowledge on curriculums, exercise knowledge, and school levels. In illustration and photograph analyses, cases were discovered in which exercise principles and rules were not properly visualized and there was information such as unnatural movements and scenes in performances of action and situations, visual material divorced from texts, and unsafe learning environments. With regard to the validity of content knowledge, relationships between the domains of physical education and curriculum competency were not consistent, and references were made for the need for re-conceptualizations in textbook development design stages. Also, discussions were made that, recognizing the ability of students to make or anticipate achievements after learning or the ‘functions’ of the content system of the 2015 revised curriculum, which are seen as end points, as stages of class procedures is a misinterpretation of the concept of ‘functions’ as intended by national level curriculums. For high-quality physical education authorized textbooks to be developed, site compatibility review processes must be made during development stages and certification standards should be prepared for review processes with stronger content accuracy and validity.
