중년 성인의 아동기 부정적 경험과 자기성장에 관한 연구 : 자기분화의 완전 매개효과와 배우자 지지의 조건부 조절효과

국문 초록

아동기 부정적 경험은 중년기 정신건강에 장기적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 부정적 경험이후 자기성장 과정에 이르는 과정을 탐색하는 것은 중년기 삶에 대한 중요한 연구 주제이다. 본 연구에서는 아동기 부정적 경험이 있는 중년 성인의 자기성장 과정에서 자기분화의 완전매개효과와 배우자 지지의 조건부 조절효과에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대구ㆍ경북과 서울ㆍ경기 지역에 거주하는 중년 성인 300명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 수집된자료는 SPSS 27.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 신뢰도 검증 분석과 SPSS PROCESS Macro로 model 4번을 이용하여 자기분화의 매개효과와 model 59번을 이용하여 배우자 지지의 조건부 조절효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 아동기 부정적 경험이 있는 중년 성인들은 자기성장에 부적 영향을 미치고 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 아동기 부정적 경험이 있는중년 성인들이 배우자 지지를 통해 자기분화 및 자기성장이 상승한다는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구는 아동기 부정적 경험이 있는 중년 성인들에 대한 배우자 지지의 중요성을 인식할 수 있도록 교육하고 상담현장에서 배우자 지지를 지각하는 훈련 및 연습 프로그램을 개발하고 실행에 대한 필요성을 제기하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can have long-term effects on mental health in middle adulthood. Exploring the pathway from such experiences to self-growth is an important research topic for understanding midlife development. This study examined the complete mediating effect of self-differentiation and the conditional moderating effect of spousal support in the relationship between ACEs and self-growth among middle-aged adults. A total of 300 adults aged 40-60 residing in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk and Seoul-Gyeonggi regions participated in the survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0, including frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability testing, and PROCESS Macro models. Specifically, Model 4 was used to test the mediating effect of self-differentiation, and Model 59 was used to assess the conditional moderating effect of spousal support. The results showed that ACEs had a negative impact on self-growth in middle adulthood. However, spousal support was found to enhance both self-differentiation and self-growth among individuals with ACEs. These findings highlight the importance of spousal support in the psychological development of middle-aged adults with early adverse experiences. The study suggests the need for educational and counseling programs aimed at increasing awareness and perception of spousal support, including the development and implementation of training and intervention strategies.
