국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 10년간(2015-2024) 스마트홈 기술과 가족 돌봄 관련 연구 20편을 Arksey & O'Malley(2005)의 스코핑 리뷰 방법론으로 분석하여 기술이 가족 돌봄을 어떻게 재편하는지 탐색하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 가구 유형별로 기술 수용 양상이 차별화되었다. 청년 1인가구는 AI 스피커를 통한 정서적 자기돌봄을, 맞벌이가구는 원격 모니터링을 통한 확장된 돌봄을, 신중년가구는 헬스케어 기술을 활용한 능동적 건강 관리를, 고령가구는 안전 중심의 하이브리드 돌봄을 실천하였다. 둘째, 스마트홈 기술은 돌봄의 시공간적 경계를 해체하고 기술을능동적 돌봄 주체로 포함시키며 돌봄 관계를 수평화하는 등 가족 돌봄 구조를 근본적으로 재편하고 있었다. 셋째, 데이터 기반 친밀성, 정서적 의존의 양가성, 효율성과 현존감의 윤리적딜레마 등 새로운 돌봄 관계 양상이 확인되었다. 본 연구는 스마트홈 기술이 가족 체계의 능동적 행위자로 기능하며 인간-기술 공존의 새로운 돌봄 생태계를 형성하고 있음을 밝혔다. 이는 기술을 포함한 확장된 가족학 이론과 가구 유형별 맞춤형 돌봄 정책의 필요성을 시사한다

영문 초록

This study analyzed 20 research articles on smart home technology and family care published between 2015-2024 using scoping review methodology to explore how technology restructures family caregiving. Results revealed three key findings. First, technology adoption patterns differed by household characteristics: young single-person households utilized AI speakers for emotional self-care, dual-income families employed remote monitoring for extended care, new middle-aged households engaged in proactive health management through healthcare technologies, and elderly households practiced safety-centered hybrid care. Second, smart home technology fundamentally restructured family care by dissolving spatiotemporal boundaries, incorporating technology as active care agents, and horizontalizing care relationships. Third, new forms of care relationships emerged, including data-driven intimacy, ambivalent emotional dependency, and ethical dilemmas between efficiency and human presence. The study demonstrates that smart home technology functions as an active agent within family systems, creating a new human-technology coexistent care ecosystem. These findings suggest the need for expanded family studies theories incorporating technology and customized care policies based on household characteristics.
