국문 초록

본 논문은 속죄 교리에 대한 여성 신학적 비판에 응답하며, 그리스도의 삼중직(왕, 제사장, 선지자)을 통해 드러나는 속죄의 신학적 의미가 사회적 약자들, 특별히 학대 상황에 처한 여성들에게 어떤 구속적 의미를 제공할 수 있는지를 고찰한다. 일부 여성신학자들은 속죄 교리가 고난을 미화하고 여성의 고통을 정당화하므로 교회에서 더 이상 속죄 교리를 가르쳐서는 안 된다고 비판해왔다. 이에 반해 본 논문은 그리스도께서 십자가에서 삼중직을 완성하셨다는 성경적 증거를 바탕으로, 속죄 교리가 여성과 사회적 약자들에게 희망의 원천임을 논증한다. 이를 위해 첫째, 속죄 교리 안에서 나타나는 그리스도의 삼중직의 신학적 이미지와 그를 통해 계시되는 자유, 정의, 사랑의 구속적 의미를 고찰하고, 둘째, 그리스도의 사역에 참여하는 그리스도인의 소명을 통해 속죄 교리가 현대 사회, 특별히 사회적 약자와 학대당하는 여성들에게 어떻게 구현될 수 있는지를 고찰한다. 따라서 속죄 교리는 고난을 정당화하는 교리가 아니라, 죄로 인해 파괴된 세상 속에서 고통받는 이들을 위한 그리스도의 구속 사역을 선포하고 실현하는 교리로서, 오늘날 교회가 계속해서 가르치고 실천해야 할 핵심 진리임을 본 논문은 강조한다.

영문 초록

This paper responds to feminist critiques of the doctrine of atonement and explores how its theological meaning-revealed through Christ’s threefold office as king, priest, and prophet-can offer redemptive significance for the marginalized, especially for women in abusive situations. While some feminist theologians argue that the doctrine of atonement glorifies suffering and justifies the pain of women, this paper contends that the doctrine should not be discarded. Rather, this paper maintains that, based on the biblical testimony that Christ fulfilled his threefold office on the cross, the doctrine of atonement should serve as a source of hope for women and other marginalized people. To support this claim, this paper first examines the theological meaning of Christ’s threefold office within the doctrine of atonement, and how it reveals the redemptive realities of liberation, justice, and love. Second, it considers how Christians are called to participate in Christ’s work, and how the doctrine of atonement can be embodied today-especially for women in abusive circumstances. This paper concludes that the doctrine of atonement is not meant to justify suffering, but to proclaim and enact Christ’s redemptive work for those who suffer in a world broken by sin. It is, therefore, a central truth the church must continue to teach and live out today
