국문 초록

본 연구는 초고령사회 진입과 노인 1인 가구의 증가에 따라 심화되고 있는 돌봄 공백 문제에 대응하기 위한 기술 기반 대안으로서, AI 기반 돌봄 가능성을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 체계적 문헌 고찰 방법을 활용하여 국내 학술지에 등재된 논문을 중심으로 노인 1인 가구를 대상으로 한 AI 기반 돌봄 형태에 대한 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 관련 연구는 2020년 이후 COVID-19 팬데믹을 계기로 활발히 진행되기 시작하였으며 다양한 학문 분야에서 논의가 확대되고 있음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 연구 방법 측면에서는 질적 연구 중심의 경향이 뚜렷하였으며, 이용자 경험과 수용성에 대한 분석이 주를 이루는 반면, 양적 연구는 상대적으로 부족하였다. 셋째, AI 기반 돌봄 기술은 정서적 영역에서 긍정적 효과가 일관되게 보고되었다. 넷째, 현재까지의 연구는 이용자 중심의 효과성에 집중되고 있었으며, 제도적 기반, 서비스 전달체계 등 구조적 측면에 대한 논의는 미흡하였다. 이를 토대로 다양한 영역의 융합적 접근을 통한 돌봄 모델 구축의 필요성, 노년층의 디지털 리터러시 교육 강화, AI 기반 돌봄 서비스에 대한 법·제도적 관리 체계 구축의 필요성을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the possibility of AI-based care as a technology-driven solution to the emerging care gap caused by the transition to a super-aged society and the rise in single-person elderly households. To this end, we analyzed research trends on AI-based care for single-person elderly households by focusing on papers published in domestic academic journals using a systematic literature review method. The analysis revealed the following key findings: First, research in this area has become increasingly active since 2020, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic, and discussions have expanded across various academic disciplines. Second, the predominant research methodology has been qualitative, emphasizing user experiences and acceptability, while quantitative studies remain relatively limited. Third, AI-based care technologies have consistently shown positive effects in the emotional domain of elderly users. Fourth, existing studies have largely focused on user-centered outcomes, with insufficient discussion of structural aspects such as institutional frameworks and service delivery systems. Based on these findings, the study highlights the need to develop integrated care models through interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthen digital literacy education for older adults, and establish legal and institutional frameworks to manage and regulate AI-based care services.
