국문 초록

본 연구에서는 인문계 고등학교 학생들이 어떻게 진로정체성을 형성해 가는지 그 과정을 살펴보았다. 지금까지 진로정체성에 관한 연구들은 양적 연구를 통한 유형화가 대부분이었다. 본 연구에서는 두 명의 인문계 고등학교 학생들을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 보다 구체적으로 삶을 들여다보았다. 내러티브 탐구방식을 통해 학생들의 이야기를 듣고, 내러티브를 정체성 형성에 비추어 재해석하였다. 연구자는 학생들과의 개별 면담을 통해 이들이 경험하는 진로에 대한 생각과 고민, 선택들에 대해 이야기를 들었다. 실제 그들이 숨 쉬고 살아가는 삶의 현장에서, 시간의 흐름 속에서, 그들이 만나는 관계성 속에서 진로정체성의 모습은 어떠한지 살펴보았다. 심층 면담한 내용을 전사하고, 전사 자료를 반복하여 읽으며, 그 안에서 질적으로 유의미한 주제와 의미들을 찾아내었다. 연구 참여자 A는 비교적 안정적인 진로정체성 확립의 모습을 가지고 있었다. 참여자 B는 많은 고민과 갈등, 혼란스러움을 경험하는 유예의 모습이었다. B의 경우는 정체성 지위이론의 일반적 틀 안에 있으면서도 ‘관계를 기반한 의미 탐색형 유예’의 모습을 보여주었다. 본 연구가 갖는 의의는 단순히 진로정체성 유형화라는 틀을 넘어서 시공간 속에 살아 움직이는 학생들을 보는 데 있다. 우리의 학생들은 시간 속에서 흐르는 존재이며, 관계 안에서 재탄생되는 존재이다. 교사나 상담사가 학생들을 향해 이러한 열린 마음과 시선으로 다가간다면 진로지도나 상담의 방향도 달라질 것이며, 앞으로 다양한 질적 사례 연구가 지속될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study examined the process of how humanities high school students form career identity. Until now, most of the studies on career identity have been categorized through quantitative research. In this study, two humanities high school students were selected as participants in the study and looked into life more specifically. Among the qualitative research methods, students’ stories were heard through the narrative inquiry method, and the narrative was reinterpreted in light of identity formation. Through individual interviews with students, they were able to learn carefully about their thoughts, concerns, and small choices about their careers. In fact, we looked at the appearance of career identity in the field of life where they breathe and live, and in the passage of time, in the relationship. The in-depth interviews were transcribed, the transcription data were repeatedly read, and qualitatively meaningful topics and meanings were found in them. they meet. Study participant A had a relatively stable career identity. I was exploring achievements and postponements. On the other hand, study participant B was experiencing a lot of worries, conflicts, and confusion. The significance of this study is to see students living and moving in time and space beyond the framework of simply categorizing career identity. Our students are beings that flow through time and are reborn in relationships. If teachers or counselors approach students with such an open mind and gaze, the direction of career guidance and counseling will also change, and various qualitative case studies will be able to continue in the future.
