국문 초록

이 연구는 프랑스의 에코뮤지엄과 사회적 박물관 연대(FEMS)의 발생 과정과 활동 내용을 통하여 프랑스에서 발명된 에코뮤지엄이 미래 환경 디자인을 위해 어떻게 연대하는가를 주요 연구 대상으로 한다. 본 연구에서 주목하는 것은 프랑스의 에코뮤지엄들이 스스로의 존재 가치를 찾기 위해서 지역유산을 배경으로 어떻게 관계 맺기를 하는가이다. 당초 에코뮤지엄 연대는 프랑스의 에코뮤지엄 협회로 출발하였으나 영역을 넓히면서 사회적 박물관과 해석센터를 연대의 구성원으로 수용하면서 지역의 이야기를 간직한 문화유산 기관 모두를 아우르는 행보를 펼친다. 이 연구에서 특히 주목한것은 과거의 유산을 주요 대상으로 하는 기관들이 미래 환경 디자인을 위해서 서로 교류하면서 당면한 문제를 성찰하고 끊임없이 토론하면서 시대적 함의를 도출하여 나가는 점이다. 이를 위해서 첫째, 구성원들이 스스로를 어떻게 인식하는가에 대해서 자기 식별 요소를 영토, 주제, 공동체의 세 가지 관점에서 조사하였다. 둘째, 해마다 열리는 전문가 회의의 주제를 바탕으로 에코뮤지엄과 사회적 박물관 연대가 추구하는 철학에 대해서 논하였다. 어떤 사회나 공동체가 박물관 혹은 문화유산 기관과 연계하여 당면한 문제를 해결해 나가는 과정은 단 시간에 이루어지는 것이 아니며 긴 시간동안 쌓인 지역사회 환경에 대한 이해와 실천적 노력을 담보로 한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 지속적으로 담론을 형성하면서 미래환경을 디자인하면서 이를 실천해나가는 프랑스의 에코뮤지엄과 사회적 박물관 연대에 대한 연구는 의의를 갖는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is how the ecomuseums invented in France works together for the future environmental design through the process of development and activities of the French ecomuseums and the Social Museums Solidarity (FEMS). This study focuses on how the French ecomuseums build relationships with regional heritage in order to find their own value of existence. The Ecomuseums Solidarity initially started as the French Ecomuseum Association, but as it expanded its scope, it began to include social museums and interpretation centers as members of the solidarity, and began to embrace all cultural heritage institutions that preserve regional stories. What is particularly noteworthy in this study is that institutions that primarily focused on heritage interact with each other for the future environmental design, reflect on the challenges they face, and continuously discuss them to derive implications for the time being. In conclusion, first, we investigated self-identification factors from three perspectives: territory, topic, and community, regarding how members perceive themselves. Second, we discussed the philosophy pursued by ecomuseums and social museum solidarity based on the theme of the expert meeting held every year. The process of a society or community solving a problem by linking with a museum or cultural heritage institution is not accomplished in a short period of time, and requires long-term understanding of the local community environment and practical efforts. Nevertheless, the study of French ecomuseums and social museums solidarity, which continuously form discourses and design future environments while putting them into practice, is significant
