노인의 여가시설 이용과 주관적 건강상태 간 관계연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 여가시설 이용과 노인의 주관적 건강상태 간 관련성을 분석하였다. 연구에서는 여가시설 특성에 따른 건강상태 증진 효과를 탐색하고, 사회적 관계 요인을 통제하여 여가시설 이용의 독자적 효과를 규명하고자 하였다. ｢2023 노인실태조사｣를 활용하여 노인 9,881명을 대상으로 순서형 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공공/민간여가문화시설을 이용한 노인의 주관적 건강상태가 높았으며, 민간여가시설 효과는 건강한 노인만을 대상으로 수행한 분석에서도 유지되었다. 둘째, 경로당, 노인복지관, 종합사회복지관 이용경험은 건강상태와 유의한 관련이 없었다. 셋째, 여가시설 이용경험 효과는 친인척/친구 수, 도움받을 수 있는 사람의 수 등의 사회적 관계 변수를 통제해도 유지되었다. 이 논문은 공공/민간여가시설경험이 사회적 교류, 취미여가프로그램을 통해 노인의 건강을 개선할 가능성을 제시하고, 기존 문화인프라를 활용한 맞춤형 여가정책 수립의 정책적 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the relationship between leisure facility and subjective health, examining how health correlates with different types of leisure facilities used by older adults. Using a sample of 9,881 older adults from the “2023 National Survey of the Living Conditions and Welfare Needs of Older Koreans” in Korea, an ordinal logistic regression analysis was conducted. The main findings are as follows: First, older adults who used public and private leisure facilities showed significantly higher levels of subjective health status. Second, experiences of using senior citizen centers, senior welfare centers, and community welfare centers did not show significant associations with subjective health status. The study suggests that experiences in public and private leisure facilities may have potential health-promoting effects not only through social interactions but also through specialized older-focused leisure programs. By exploring the relationship between leisure facilities and health promotion through social relationships and leisure program experiences, this research presents policy implications for leisure services utilizing existing cultural infrastructure.
