『淸華簡·繫年』과의 비교를 통한 『��羌鐘』의 내용 고찰

국문 초록

본 논문은 『淸華簡·繫年』과 동주시기『��羌鐘』을 비교 분석을 통해 『��羌鐘』의 내용을 재고찰하고자 한다. 『��羌鐘』은 戰國 시기의 晉系 청동기 명문으로, 본문에서는 특히 논란이 많은 부분을 중심으로『淸華簡·繫年』과의 비교를 통해 재해석을 시도하였다. 연구 결과, 『��羌鐘』의 ‘唯廿又再祀’는 周 威烈王 22년(BC 404)으로, 이는 晉烈公 12년에 해당된다. 또한 ‘令于晉公’에서 ‘晉公’은 기존 일부 연구에서 주장된 平公이 아니라 晉 烈公이다. ‘��羌’의 ‘羌’자를 ‘ ’자로 예정하고, ‘敬’으로 읽고 있으나 옳지 않다. ‘羌’자의 고문은 아랫부분 필획을 구부려 쓰지 않았기 때문에 응당히 ‘羌’으로 예정하여야 옳다.『��羌鐘』의 ‘乍 ’ 구절 중 ‘ ’자는 ‘戎’의 이체자로, 본문은 ‘乍 ’을 ‘作戎’으로 읽었다. ‘군대의 장수를 관리하여 전쟁을 하다’라는 뜻이다. “��羌乍戎氒辟倝宗��䢦” 구절 중 ‘氒 辟倝宗��䢦’은 모두 ‘乍戎’의 목적어이다. ‘��羌’은 군대에서 ‘장수’들을 관리하는 관리 혹은 장수로 ‘軍師’와 같은 역할을 한 것으로 보인다. 또한 본문에서는 『��羌鐘』의 ‘敓楚 京’ 구절 중 ‘楚京’은 초나라의 수도가 아니라 산동성 지역의 ‘楚丘’이며, ‘平 ’은 지명 ‘平阴’임을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 『淸華簡·繫年』과 동주 시기 『��羌鐘』의 비교를 통해 전국 시대 및 晉系 청동기 명문의 역사적 배경을 검토하고, 금문과 죽간 자료의 상호 보완적 관계를 규명하는 데 기여할 수 있다. 아울러 이를 통해 전국 시대 역사 및 문자 연구에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시하며, 기존 연구와의 이동을 밝히는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to re-examine the contents of the Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘), by comparing and analysing the Qinghua Bamboo Slip’s Xinian with the Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘) of the Eastern Zhou period. The Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘) is a bronze inscription from the Jin lineage of the Warring States period, and this paper focuses on the controversial part of it and tries to reinterpret it by comparing it with the Qinghua Bamboo Slip’s Xinian. The results of this study show that the inscription 'wei ershi you zai si(唯廿又再祀)' in the Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘) corresponds to the 22nd year of King Wei Lie of the Zhou Dynasty (404 BCE), the 12th year of Duke Lie of the Jin Dynasty. Moreover, in the inscription 'ling yu Jingong(令于晉公)', 'Jingong(晉公)' refers to Duke Lie of Jin, not Duke Ping of Jin, as some studies have suggested. Regarding the character 'qiang(羌)' in the inscription 'Biaoqiang(��羌)', some scholars in the past thought that it should be pronounced as 'jing(敬)', but this view is not correct. In the ancient form of the character 'qiang(羌)', the lower strokes are not bent, so it should still be read as 'qiang(羌)'. In the phrase '乍 ' in the Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘) inscription, the character ' ' is identified as a variant form of 'rong(戎)', and the text should be read as 'zuo rong(作戎)', meaning 'to manage the generals of an army in order to wage war'. In the sentence 'Biaoqiang zuo rong jue bi Ganzong che shuai(��羌乍戎氒辟倝宗��䢦)', the terms 'jue bi Ganzong che shuai(氒辟倝宗��䢦)' all function as the object of 'zha rong(乍戎)'. It seems that 'Biaoqiang(��羌)' served as an officer or general in the army who managed the generals, playing a role similar to that of a 'military advisor'. In addition, this paper also confirms that in the 'duo Chujing(敓楚京)' inscription in the Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘), 'Chujing(楚京)' does not refer to the capital of the state of Chu, but rather to 'Chuqiu(楚丘)' in Shandong; At the same time, 'Pingyin' is identified as the place name 'Pingyin(平阴)'.This study explores the historical background of bronze inscriptions from the Warring States period and the Jin dynasty and clarifies the complementary relationship between jinwen and bamboo slips by comparing the Qinghua Bamboo Slip’s Xinian with the Biaoqiang Zhong (��羌鐘) from the Eastern Zhou period. The research results provide new perspectives on the history of the Warring States and the study of ancient texts, while further clarifying the differences with established studies.
