인성교육 프로그램을 적용한 공동체 활동에서의 보육교사 변화 탐색

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 내에서 보육교사가 인성교육 프로그램에 참여하여 스스로 지녀야 하는 인성에 대해 이해하고, 공동체 활동을 통한 보육교사의 변화를 탐색하는 것이다. 방법 연구참여자는 S시에 위치한 어린이집에 근무하는 보육교사 12명이다. 연구는 2023년 3월 17일부터 10월 27일까지 인성교육 프로그램을 2주에 1번씩 총 12회기 실시하였으며, 참여관찰, 면담, 활동 결과물을 통해 자료를 수집하고 보육교사의 경험에 대한 의미를 살펴보았다. 결과 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인성교육 프로그램을 통한 공동체 활동으로 교사들의 변화는 초기 불편함을 느꼈던 것에서 점차 존중과 배려의 태도로 변화하고 영유아에게 심리적 안정감을 가질 수 있었다. 둘째, 보육교사들은 갈등 해결 능력이 향상되고 협력 및 소통을 통해 행복이 증진됨을 볼 수 있었다. 셋째, 보육교사들은 긍정적인 보육환경을 조성하려고 노력하였으며 다양한 수업을 준비하면서 보육환경이 개선됨을 볼 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 인성교육 프로그램을 통한 공동체 활동으로 보육교사들은 자기 자신을 이해하고, 목적에 대한 동기부여와 역량 강화를 통해 전문성이 향상되어 전체적으로 교사의 자기 성장이 이루어짐을 볼 수 있었다. 결론 본 연구에서는 인성교육 프로그램을 통한 공동체 활동으로 교사들의 변화된 모습은 교사의 인성 함양과 정서적 안정감이 영유아의 인성으로, 공동체 활동에서의 행복증진이 보육환경의 개선으로 볼 수 있으며, 이는 궁극적으로 교사 자신의 성장과 함께 양질의 보육실행의 성과를 가져왔다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the personality that childcare teachers should possess by participating in a personality education program in child care centers and to explore changes in childcare teachers through community activities. Methods The research participants were 12 childcare teachers working at a daycare center in City S. The study conducted a personality education program once every two weeks for a total of 12 sessions from March 17 to October 27, 2023, and collected data through participant observation, interviews, and activity results, and examined the meaning of the childcare teachers' experiences. Results The results of the study are as follows. First, through community activities through the personality education program, teachers changed from feeling uncomfortable at first to gradually showing respect and consideration, and were able to provide psychological stability to young children. Second, the teachers’ conflict resolution skills improved and their happiness increased through cooperation and communication. Third, the teachers tried to create a positive childcare environment, and the childcare environment improved as they prepared various classes. Fourth, through community activities in the personality education program, childcare teachers can understand themselves, and their professionalism can be improved through motivation and capacity building for their goals, leading to overall self-growth for teachers. Conclusions In this study, the changes in teachers through community activities through personality education programs can be seen as the fostering of teachers’ character and emotional stability into the character of infants and toddlers, and the increased happiness in community activities into the improvement of the childcare environment. This is significant in that it ultimately led to the achievement of quality childcare implementation along with the growth of the teachers themselves.
