국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 청년패널조사(YP2021) 2차년도 자료를 활용하여 청년 자영업자의 진입 요인을 규명하는 데 있다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 15세~29세 청년의 최종 학력이 대학생 이상일 경우 자영업에 진입할 가능성이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청년이 14세였을 때 아버지가 자영업자였을 경우, 자영업에 진입할 가능성이 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 본인이 소유한 금융자본이 있는 청년은 자영업에 진입할 가능성이 상대적으로 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 부모가 보유한 기술, 관리 능력, 지식, 교육 등 기업가적 자본이 자녀에게 전이되면서 자녀의 자영업 진입 가능성을 높이는 요인으로 작용함을 의미한다. 특히, 부모가 자영업을 운영한 경험이 있었을 경우, 자녀는 보다 현실적인 창업 기회를 접할가능성이 커지는 것으로 판단된다. 마지막으로, 청년자영업자의 기업가정신은 자영업 진입에 통계적으로 유의한 영향이없는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 청년 자영업자의 성공을 촉진하기 위해 학력, 기업가적 자본, 금융자본 등의 요인을 고려한 맞춤형 창업 지원이 체계적으로 이루어져야 함을 시사한다. 또한, 청년 자영업자들이 지속 가능한 경영 활동을 이어갈 수 있도록 창업 생태계의 활성화가 필요함을 강조한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the entry factors of youth self-employed people using youth panel data(YP2021). As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the likelihood of entering self-employment decreases when the final education level of young people aged 15 to 29 is higher than college student. Second, when the young man was 14 years old and the father was self-employed, the likelihood of entering self-employment increased. Lastly, it was found that young people with financial capital owned by them are more likely to enter self-employment. This means that entrepreneurial capital such as skills, management, knowledge, and education owned by parents has been transferred to their children in factors for their children to enter self-employment, and in particular, parents' background of self-employment is believed to be because it provided practical opportunities for self-employed children to start businesses. Finally, it was confirmed that the entrepreneurship of youth self-employed people had no statistically significant effect on self-employment entry. Through the results of this study, there is a theoretical meaning in that the study was conducted only for youth self-employed people (15-29 years old) by reflecting the increasing trend in the number and proportion of youth self-employed people. In addition, in order to increase the success of youth self-employed people, customized start-up support considering education, entrepreneurial capital, and financial capital should be systematically provided. Finally, it suggests that an environment should be created in which youth self-employed people can carry out sustainable management activities.
