국문 초록

본고에서는 한반도에서 일본열도로 전파된 다양한 문화 중에서 묘제에 착목하여 일본의 고분 축조의 역사에서도 큰 전환점인 매장시설의변화, 즉 횡혈계 매장시설의 도입을 백제지역과의 관계에서 고찰하였다. 횡혈식석실을 비롯한 새로운 고분구조의 도입은 단순히 하드웨어로서의 매장시설 변화 뿐만 아니라, 부장품의 질적인 변화나 장송의례의변화, 나아가 사후의 세계관의 변화를 동반하는 당시에 있어서 정신세계의 대변혁을 반영하는 것이었다. 이러한 일본열도 내에서의 변화는한반도 묘제 변화에서의 연속이라고 할 수 있다. 특히 한반도 내에서고분의 변화를 생각하는데 있어서도 공주 수촌리고분군 내의 고분 변천과 초기 횡혈식석실의 도입 양상은 중요한 검토 대상이 된다. 본고에서는 우선 일본 학계에서 고분의 매장시설 변화가 한반도와의 관계에서어떻게 논해 왔는가에 대해 연구사 정리를 하고, 실제로 백제를 중심으로 한 삼국시대의 묘제와 일본 묘제의 관련성에 대해 재확인하였다. 이 를 바탕으로 수촌리고분군과 일본의 畿內(키나이)형석실을 사례로 삼 아, 고분의 석축기술의 시·공간적 계승에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

In this paper, we focus on the tomb system among the various elements that were introduced from the Korean Peninsula, and consider the change in burial facilities, which is a major turning point in the history of construction of ancient tombs in Japan. In other words, the situation of the change from pit style burial tombs to horizontal style burial facilities is assumed to be related to the Baekje region of the Korean Peninsula. The introduction of new tomb structures, including horizontal style stone chambers, is not just a change in burial facilities as hardware, but also reflects a major transformation in the spiritual world of the time, which was accompanied by qualitative changes in grave goods and funeral rituals, and ultimately changes in the view of the afterlife and family systems. The changes within the Japanese archipelago are a continuation of the changes in tomb systems on the Korean Peninsula. In addition, when considering changes within the Korean Peninsula, the evolution of the tombs in the Suchon-ri tumulus in Gongju is an important subject of study. In this paper, we first summarize how the changes in burial facilities of tombs have been discussed in Japanese academic circles in relation to the Korean Peninsula. We then examine the actual relationship between the tomb systems of the Three Kingdoms period, centered on Baekje, and those of Japan. Furthermore, using the Suchon-ri tumulus and the Kinai-type stone chambers of Japan as examples, I will discuss the temporal and spatial succession of stone construction techniques for ancient tombs.
