국문 초록

본 연구는 이슬람-좌파주의(Islamo-Leftism)의 연원, 논쟁, 사회적 반향을 면밀히 분석한다. 이슬람-좌파주의는 정치 이슬람과 서구 마르크스주의가 결합한 현상으로 간주하며, 특히 프랑스와 영미권에서 논의를 진행하고 있다. 아직 한국에서는 널리 사용하지 않는 개념이지만, 서구권에서는 2002년 프랑스에서 처음 등장한 이후 간헐적으로 사회 갈등의 요소가 되었다. 특히, 2023년 이스라엘과 팔레스타인 갈등과 2024년 프랑스의 의회 선거를 계기로 사회적 논쟁의 중심에 놓이게 되었다. 이슬람-좌파주의는 반시온주의, 반유대주의, 이주민 갈등과 같은 기존의 사회 문제들과 결합하면서 영향력이 더욱 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 이슬람-좌파주의를 실체가 없는 무형의 존재가 아니라, 사회적 현상으로 가정하고, 21세기 국제 사회의 정치, 사회 갈등과 연대의 새로운 양상을 조명하고자 한다. 이는 이슬람-좌파주의가 현대 사회의 다양한 갈등을 투영하고 있는 방식을 조명하고, 이 개념의 학문적, 사회적 의의를 재평가하는 작업이다.

영문 초록

This study meticulously analyzes the origins, debates, and social repercussions of the concept of Islamo-Leftism. Islamo-Leftism is a phenomenon that combines political Islam with Western leftist ideology, and it has been actively discussed, particularly in France and the Anglosphere. Although the concept has not yet been used in Korea, it first appeared in France in 2002 and has become a subject of social and political debate in the Western world since 2020. It came more to the forefront of social debate following the Israel-Palestine conflict in 2023 and the French parliamentary elections in 2024. Islamo-Leftism has gained more influence as it intersects with existing social issues such as anti-Zionism, anti-Semitism, and immigrant conflicts. This study assumes Islamo-Leftism not as an intangible entity but as a social phenomenon, aiming to shed light on new aspects of political and social conflicts and solidarity in the 21st-century international community. This involves highlighting how Islamo-Leftism reflects various modern societal conflicts and reevaluating its academic and social significance.
